Hon’ble PM Sir
Delighted to share our successfully running highly impactful Project Vikalp aimed at controlling single-use plastic bags. We have 350 Vikalp - Borrow a Bag stalls running in Delhi markets. Consumers can borrow a bag from these stalls against a deposit of Rs 20. They can return the bag across any of these 350 stalls & taking total refund of Rs 20. A QR Code stitched to each bag takes the scanner to the webpage of Vikalp where you get the addresses of all Vikalp stalls. To start, we give a few bags free of cost at these stalls free to avoid burden on shopkeepers. Most bags are stitched by SHG women providing livelihood to these ladies. Municipal Corporation of Delhi has provided full support to Vikalp. Project Vikalp can be expanded Pan-India. Vi has been covered by National & International. Kindly check our webpage www.whywastewednesdays.com/vikalp , attached PDF and YouTube link on Project Vikalp.
