Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

1. Automation of traffic, police and disaster management systems (ex- London traffic systems). 2. Bring motivation to the already frustrated and demotivated police force ensuring better policing. 3. Ensuring 24X7 electricity and smooth roads, highways etc. not only for the people but also to facilitate immense industrial growth. This will bring in more funds for more development projects in the form of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & additional funds to be used under the PPP plan.

need of good governence need of better cindition of roads and water management system force more attention to historical places... need of better waste management need of awareness peogrammes fo public of bilasur....for making green bilaspur..clean bilaspur

The management of Bilaspur district was taken over by the British Government in 1818. The city was taken over by the British East India Company of Great Britain in the year 1854 from the then ruler of the region, Bhosale of the Nagpur kingdom belonging to the Maratha Empire. Under Bhosale of the Nagpur kingdom there were many subedars or zamindars/landlords like Akbar Khan, Vazeer Khan, Sao and others in Bilaspur.
