MyGov Talk with Mr. Bibek Debroy: Enabling Participation in New Economy

India is transforming at a rapid pace and India's demographic dividend is expected to play a significant role in enhancing this pace of development. New technologies and increasing participation of women in the various sectors of economy are contributing in a significant way to India's development.

NITI Aayog along with UN in India and MyGov are celebrating this socio-economic transformation across the country. As part of this ongoing effort, we are pleased to announce a live interaction with NITI Aayog Member, noted economist and author, Mr.Bibek Debroy. Scheduled on Monday, April 4th, 2016 at 2 pm, Mr.Debroy’s interaction will address a wide range of issues including difference between old and new economies and how new (internet & Mobile) technologies are lowering barriers and enabling wider participation, the correlation between investment in women and child development and India’s growth, role of new technologies in enabling cross sector participation by women and other under-represented sections of society. Sir, from several decade we talked the poverty on the basis of calorie intake, according to this theme we were formulated poverty alivation program.But sir, now a days internate divide is very important issue to reflect the acutat benefit of democracy.Sir, my question is that how we can overreach the problem lies in the actual benefit of internate. And Sir, can we reformulate the policy of poverty line so that dimension of digital divide include in new poverty line, so that one can reach to gov

सर नमस्कार, सरकार आपदा न्यनीकरण के लिए गांव को आपदा प्रबंधन से जोड़ना चाहती है | पंचायत आपदा प्रबंधन समितियों का गठन ग्राम सभा में करने की व्यवस्था है लेकिन पंचायत बैठकों में ही इसका गठन सीबीओ के सदस्यों को सूचित किए बिना मनमर्जी से हो रहा है | सही जानकारी न होने के कारण ऐसी गतिविधियां हो रही हैं जिससे आपदाएं बढ़ ही रही हैं  और यह इकोनॉमी को भी प्रभावित करती है | इसमें पारदर्शिता कैसे बढ़ेगी ताकि आपदा नुकसान की भरपाई में कम से कम सरकारी खज़ाना लुटाना पड़े |

Sir, a debate in recent times is about who in family should go to work, husband or wife, and who should be home-maker. A better approach is for either of them to go to work, and the other, apart from being home maker, can be home-based, flexi-time entrepreneur, incl trade/ export. 70% of MSMEs are one-person run, some of which become big. This will unleash entrepreneurship, grow Indian economy, generate huge employment, and create wealth and happiness in family. Why not Govt promote this idea?

Sir, there has been considerable time spent on discussing MNREGS - the scheme, its viability, finance allocation & outcome. Is REGS an alternative to improving the agricultural climate? Should more effort not be made towards increasing agricultural output, would co-operative farming be of use. Is it also not time to re-orient the REGS to include food processing industry, handicrafts & handlooms and purposeful utilitarian construction activity to enhance the living standards of the community.

Sir, despite significant progress in the last two years, corruption continues to remain the bane of economic progress / development. Despite ease of doing business, several schemes promoting skill training, opportunities for self employment, financial inclusivity and an improved climate of openness due to digital India, DBT & the use of Adhar, there are still lacunae. People need to rise up against financial wrongs - your view.

मोबाइल कॉल से एटीएम फ्रॉड की घटनाएं बढ़ी हैं साधरण जन और महिलायें आसानी से फ्रॉड का शिकार बन जाती हैं क्या इसके लिए कोई नीति है ?

Another Corridor to make proposition of Mekong Ganga Corridor can emerge as an Spur in Samstipur of Bihar from Eastern economic Corridor as mentioned in previous post. Samastipur-Saharsa-Siliguri-Silchar North East Economic Corridor extending to Maynamar-Thailand- Viyatnam- Laos- Kambodia-Singapore-Malysia can ride Buddhist Tourism, Trade and Commerce giving India tremendous Geo-strategic and Economic Advantage. Question is can we think Big and deliver on the same?
