Electronics Sector is a critical Sector of the Indian Economy. It is one of the pillars of “Make in India” and “Digital India” programs of the Government.
Keeping in view that the Electronics Manufacturing Sector holds a great potential in the Indian context, and there has been a gap between the achievement and the potential of this sector, NITI Aayog has prepared a Draft Strategy Paper for Make in India in Electronics.
This Strategy paper titled Make in India - Strategy for Electronic Products has been uploaded on NITI Aayog’s website and can be accessed here: http://niti.gov.in/writereaddata/files/document_publication/Electronics%...

We would appreciate valuable comments and inputs on the Strategy Paper from relevant stakeholders and public at large by 15th June 2016.

In india we promote Software but not Hardware but it is dangerous, Because In software Industries capital investment of creating a job required less than a lakh but in hardware industries it required at least 10 to 15 lakh. so any software industries can shift from one countries to other over night ( just need one PC only) hardware need more skill with more investment. This investment money go to public

Dear Sir, I am working with Electronics Industries and visited 7 countries for training with original machine manufacture, I met many people from USA and they informed that if our country want improve R&D and students Idea Then first they must start PCB manufacturing in school level from 8th onwards because students have Idea but you need to know how to make Printed circuit Board its need very low investment less than a lakh and compulsory an hour class per week is more than enough. 9446195939

The Education system of Engineering in India is very poor in terms of practical knowledge. Only 8% of students are skilled. Hence First initiate quality training institutes for PCB designing, Component soldering,Core embedded programming, initiate 3D printing technology & give us assurance to sell the product. Why to think that only SEZ based approach?Let give us opportunity to start electronics based small business in Home.We are interested,we have guts, but not the power."Make at Home in India"

Local manufacturing units will fulfil the consumption at first and on attaining surplus we start the export. The manufacturing unit can be both domestic and foreign. The recommendations are quite good. As for defense sector, the modernization of Defense Forces especially the Army would require lots of Electronics as the tanks and artillery seek displays, soldiers too seek displays(map-computer) which have direct sat uplink for better reconnaissance during OP. This too is good for Make in India.
