The District Administration Baghpat invites citizens, youth, innovators and institutions from across India on MyGov to share innovative and practical ideas to transform the Shri Parshurameshwar Pura Mahadev Mahashivratri Mela into a Zero Waste Mahotsav on theme “Bhakti Bhi, Prakriti Bhi”.

Building on the successful implementation of a Zero Waste model during Falguni Mahashivratri 2026 celebrations, this initiative aims to further strengthen sustainable practices and develop Baghpat as a model for green and responsible religious gatherings in India.

Aligned with the vision of Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), Swachh Bharat and sustainable tourism, the initiative promotes environmentally responsible behaviour, reduction of waste, resource efficiency and community participation in large public events.

What kind of ideas are we looking for?
1. Participants are encouraged to submit practical, scalable and innovative ideas in areas such as:
a. Waste management and zero waste systems
b. Plastic-free alternatives for melas and religious events
c. Eco-friendly materials and green infrastructure
d. Awareness campaigns and behavioural change strategies
e. Volunteer and youth engagement models
f. Use of technology (apps, QR-based services, monitoring systems, etc.)
g. Sustainable tourism and visitor management

How to participate?
1. Submit your idea in maximum 200–300 words
2. Focus on solutions that can be practically implemented on ground
3. You may include examples, models or case references

What will happen to your ideas?
Selected ideas will be reviewed by the District Administration and considered for implementation during the Shravani Mahashivratri Mela scheduled in second week of August 2026. Selected contributions may also be recognised as part of a district-led innovation initiative and documented as good practices.

This is an opportunity to contribute to building a national model of sustainable religious events, promote environmental responsibility, and strengthen citizen participation in governance. Your ideas can help demonstrate how tradition, technology and sustainability can work together for a better future.

Subject: Proposal to surge Government Share Market Tax Revenues by 25-30% and Stabilize the Capital Market. Respected Minister of Finance / Core Budget Team, I am submitting a crucial policy recommendation aimed at reforming the share market tax structure and safeguarding our capital markets from severe downturns. By implementing a Graded Tax Slab Structure (0-1 Year STCG at 20%, and 10+ Years Ultra LTCG at 5%), three major macroeconomic benefits can be achieved: 25-30% Revenue Growth: An attractive, low long-term tax rate will draw crores of new retail investors into the market. This massive surge in total investment volume, combined with short-term trading taxes, will boost the government's net tax revenue by 25-30%. yours sincerely Rohan Sharma (Data analytics) Contact no. 7217628998 "I am sharing a short PDF with you. If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them. If you like the proposal, I can provide you with the large PDF as well."

Good morning everyone. My idea for waste management at a fair (mela) is to place dustbins at convenient locations so that they are easily accessible to everyone. There should be two types of dustbins: one for biodegradable waste and another for non-biodegradable waste. Visitors should be educated through regular announcements about the different types of waste and how to dispose of them properly. The use of plastic, especially single-use plastic, should be avoided. Biodegradable waste can be used to make compost, while non-biodegradable materials can be recycled and reused. The compost can then be used as fertilizer. In this way, we can move towards achieving a zero-waste mela.

First thing - plastic bottles and bags should be completely banned inside the temple premises. Instead, devotees can be given steel or earthen kalash for offering water, which can be returned later under a deposit scheme. For prasad distribution, plastic plates and cups should be replaced with dried leaf plates or banana leaves - it's an old traditional method and looks much better too. Separate colored dustbins should be placed around the temple for wet waste, dry waste, and plastic. Along with that, a few volunteers or NGO members should be there to guide people on what goes where, because just placing bins won't solve the problem on its own. Another good idea would be a tree plantation activity on the day of Shivratri itself - devotees could plant a Bel (Bilva) sapling as part of their puja, which connects directly with Lord Shiva and also helps the environment. This could be called something like a "Mahadev Green Corridor" around the temple.

Theme: "Har Har Mahadev, Harit Mahotsav" 1. Plastic-Free Pilgrimage Ban single-use plastic bottles, cups, plates, and bags. Distribute cloth bags and steel/glass water bottles on a refundable deposit basis. 2. Bilva Tree Plantation Drive Devotees plant a Bel (Bilva) sapling in Lord Shiva's name. Create a "Mahadev Green Corridor" around the temple. 3. Eco-Friendly Prasad Serve prasad in leaf bowls (dona-pattal) or reusable steel utensils. Avoid plastic packaging. 4. Nirmalya Recycling Center Collect flowers, leaves, and offerings separately. Convert them into compost or incense sticks. 5. Refill Water Stations Set up free drinking water refill points to reduce plastic bottle waste. 6. Waste Segregation Zones Green bins: Wet waste Blue bins: Dry waste Volunteers guide devotees on proper disposal. 7. "Bring Your Own Thali" Campaign Encourage devotees to bring their own plates, bottles, and cups. Offer special recognition for participants. 8. Shivratri Green Pledge Wall Visitors write one

AI in eGovernance : Artificial Intelligence is the discipline that seeks patterns in data about all the aspects that allow an entity to determine how to perform a task and/or help make a decision. As is the case of human, AI models also get matured by observing data samples and/or by interacting with an environment gathering contextual information relevant for the problem at hand, possibly competing against or cooperating with other entities. This definition is based on the need to emphasize the following aspects that are crucial when considering AI application in any domain: (1) Being able to learn from examples (i.e. not coded to solve a task by a programmer), (2) Possibly operating in an environment populated by other entities, (3) Accomplishing a task that would require intelligence if done by a human. NIC has Created Artificial Intelligence Resource Division, which has been working towards increasing use of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in eGovernance space, helping Miss
