The District Administration Baghpat invites citizens, youth, innovators and institutions from across India on MyGov to share innovative and practical ideas to transform the Shri Parshurameshwar Pura Mahadev Mahashivratri Mela into a Zero Waste Mahotsav on theme “Bhakti Bhi, Prakriti Bhi”.

Building on the successful implementation of a Zero Waste model during Falguni Mahashivratri 2026 celebrations, this initiative aims to further strengthen sustainable practices and develop Baghpat as a model for green and responsible religious gatherings in India.

Aligned with the vision of Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), Swachh Bharat and sustainable tourism, the initiative promotes environmentally responsible behaviour, reduction of waste, resource efficiency and community participation in large public events.

What kind of ideas are we looking for?
1. Participants are encouraged to submit practical, scalable and innovative ideas in areas such as:
a. Waste management and zero waste systems
b. Plastic-free alternatives for melas and religious events
c. Eco-friendly materials and green infrastructure
d. Awareness campaigns and behavioural change strategies
e. Volunteer and youth engagement models
f. Use of technology (apps, QR-based services, monitoring systems, etc.)
g. Sustainable tourism and visitor management

How to participate?
1. Submit your idea in maximum 200–300 words
2. Focus on solutions that can be practically implemented on ground
3. You may include examples, models or case references

What will happen to your ideas?
Selected ideas will be reviewed by the District Administration and considered for implementation during the Shravani Mahashivratri Mela scheduled in second week of August 2026. Selected contributions may also be recognised as part of a district-led innovation initiative and documented as good practices.

This is an opportunity to contribute to building a national model of sustainable religious events, promote environmental responsibility, and strengthen citizen participation in governance. Your ideas can help demonstrate how tradition, technology and sustainability can work together for a better future.

What would happen if all the sports leagues of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Srilanka & Myammar were merged and each sports league was made into a single league according to its sport? Merging the sports leagues of these Countries into single, unified leagues would create a massive South Asian sports ecosystem. This would dramatically increase commercial value, enhance competitiveness for smaller nations, and create a high-revenue, high-visibility market similar to a mega Sports Events.

Title: Practical Ground Plan for Zero Waste MahotsavRespected Team, as a devotee, I suggest a simple, ground-level plan instead of complex ideas. First, we must replace plastic prasad bags with reusable cloth pouches. For bhandaras, the administration should set up a steel utensil bank. Cleaning these plates can be promoted as 'Bartan Sewa' where devotees voluntarily wash them as part of their ritual. Second, we can place large earthen pots called 'Shiv Arpan Patra' at exits for flower waste, which can be mixed with cow dung from local gaushalas to make organic fertilizer for our farmers. Lastly, we can reward youngsters who collect littered plastic bottles on the ground with a small Rudraksha. Connecting faith with responsibility will naturally make this festival zero-waste. Thank you, Jai Bhole Nath!

First, you explained the context in which these ideas should be presented. Some of the ideas are as follows For temples, arrangements should be made for the milk-ablution ceremony on the Shivalinga in a manner that satisfies the thirst of animals, and belpathr only Amaranth laddus should be used in the Prasad, which can be used as fodder in cow shelters. A fine of Rs. 500 should be imposed for littering and littering at various places. Police personnel should be deployed along with NCC volunteers to avoid conflicts between devotees and volunteers. They can direct litterers to put their garbage in the dustbins and impose fines only on those who disobey instructions.

Sir, As India is growing economically and is an emerging power of the world, some western lobbies from New York and London, international media and PR agencies along with UN is trying to create a chaos in India by not letting the Indian government to make fence on the border of the Bangladesh as after fencing their propaganda won’t work and infiltrators won’t be able to enter India illegally to change the demography of India so all these people and UN are planning to put restrictions and sanctions on India, by declaring us an aggressive neighbour, therefore India should make an alliance with Russia, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, Newzealand, other small countries and if possible then also with China and North Korea so as to stop to set the false narrative of America and United Nations and it will also create kind of nato against islamic nato.
