The District Administration Baghpat invites citizens, youth, innovators and institutions from across India on MyGov to share innovative and practical ideas to transform the Shri Parshurameshwar Pura Mahadev Mahashivratri Mela into a Zero Waste Mahotsav on theme “Bhakti Bhi, Prakriti Bhi”.

Building on the successful implementation of a Zero Waste model during Falguni Mahashivratri 2026 celebrations, this initiative aims to further strengthen sustainable practices and develop Baghpat as a model for green and responsible religious gatherings in India.

Aligned with the vision of Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), Swachh Bharat and sustainable tourism, the initiative promotes environmentally responsible behaviour, reduction of waste, resource efficiency and community participation in large public events.

What kind of ideas are we looking for?
1. Participants are encouraged to submit practical, scalable and innovative ideas in areas such as:
a. Waste management and zero waste systems
b. Plastic-free alternatives for melas and religious events
c. Eco-friendly materials and green infrastructure
d. Awareness campaigns and behavioural change strategies
e. Volunteer and youth engagement models
f. Use of technology (apps, QR-based services, monitoring systems, etc.)
g. Sustainable tourism and visitor management

How to participate?
1. Submit your idea in maximum 200–300 words
2. Focus on solutions that can be practically implemented on ground
3. You may include examples, models or case references

What will happen to your ideas?
Selected ideas will be reviewed by the District Administration and considered for implementation during the Shravani Mahashivratri Mela scheduled in second week of August 2026. Selected contributions may also be recognised as part of a district-led innovation initiative and documented as good practices.

This is an opportunity to contribute to building a national model of sustainable religious events, promote environmental responsibility, and strengthen citizen participation in governance. Your ideas can help demonstrate how tradition, technology and sustainability can work together for a better future.

my dear honorable Modiji we are fussing lots of problems because of Airtel network company if we have any problem we are connected with the AI program recorded message computer we are not able to get the proper Soluition for our problem the answering giving the same answer and it is not solving the problem so my lord please take immediate action to give a customer care officer number so that the public can contact them immediately as soon as the dial that number no AI program computer answering or telling press 1 2 3 0 extra we wanted direct solution you want to solve over problem by speaking to human body not with your Robo who will give the same answer and lots of time please please take immediate step solve all networking companies clients problem so that they can peacefully is there network they are always money minded before expiring they used to send message and voice call before one week itself they want money but they want provide any better service to the public Jay Shri Ram

1. डिजिटल प्रसाद वितरण: भक्तों को प्रतीकात्मक ‘ई-प्रसाद’ (QR कोड पर आशीर्वाद वीडियो) भी दिया जा सकता है, जिससे प्लेटों की बर्बादी कम हो। 2. जागरूकता स्वयंसेवक: “गो ग्रीन महाशिवरात्रि” टीम बनाएँ। कूड़ेदानों पर हिंदी में संकेत – “जैविक / अजैविक कचरा डालें”। 3. पुन: उपयोग योग्य कपड़े के झंडे: मंदिर सजावट में प्लास्टिक की पिचकारी/झालर के स्थान पर कपड़े या कागज के झंडे जो बाद में रीयूज़ किए जा सकें।

mandir ka aas paas ke logo ko jankari dijiye aur unse kahiye ki isme shyog kare jisese mandir bhi clean rahe aur apki prakriti bhi ho sakte to aas paas ke logo 18th year old boy only ko mandir ko clean rakhne ke liye prerit kare aur unka duty lga de jisese yah bharat desh ke liye example ho jyega aur gaav ke log bhi jagruk honge THANK YOU EXAMPLE SIR ke liye abhi haal hi me kuch ladko ne milkar nadi saaf kar rahe the jisko manini PARDHAN MANTRI JI apne man ki baat me kahi hai

invite School students from class 8th to 10th standard, Class 11 to 12 and graduate Students NCC NSS National green corps etc to educate villagers coming to Festival and announce in Megaphones about cleanliness Swachhta, No plastic use, Set up steel plates Steel glass Bank for food service Water service camos in festival, NGOs like SriSatyaSai seva organizations, Satya sai Youth organizations etc to assist in volunteers as groups of 15 to 50 from near by states may help, they can also conduct Moral science classes for students, children about Lifeskills soft skills, Balavikas classes Officials can contact Shri Nimish Pandya All India President of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations for service motivation and induction of local youth in seva and volunteering in various aspects in proper organization of activities related cleanliness service & awareness on swachhta by announcements at spot in public address systems might help

Subject: Suggestions to make Shri Parshurameshwar Pura Mahadev Mahashivratri Mela a 'Zero Waste Mahotsav'. Suggestions: To fulfill the resolution of "Bhakti bhi, Prakriti bhi" (Devotion with Nature), a comprehensive 'Zero Waste Management System' should be implemented at the Pura Mahadev Mela. The following steps can be taken for this purpose: Three-Bin System and Recycling: Different colored dustbins for wet waste, dry waste, and puja offerings (flowers and leaves) should be placed along the main routes of the fair. The offered flowers and leaves should be collected and processed to make organic compost or organic incense sticks (agarbatti). Ban on Single-Use Plastic: Thermocol and plastic utensils should be completely banned at the fair. Instead, the use of clay cups (kulhads), leaf plates (pattals), and reusable steel utensils should be promoted. Digital and Volunteer Awareness: QR code boards should be installed at multiple spots to encourage devotees not to litter. Local NSS/N
