Idea Title:
Cycle-of-Faith: On-Site Composting & Green Vendor Ratings for a Zero-Waste Mahotsav
Idea Details:
Flower-Waste Composting: Setup an on-site composting unit at the temple to process the massive volume of offered flowers and leaves (Belpatra) into high-quality organic fertilizer, keeping local water bodies clean.
Green Rating for Vendors: Strictly ban single-use plastics and thermocol in all food stalls and Langars. Mandate leaf plates and clay cups. Reward the most eco-friendly vendors with a "Green Partner" certificate.
Trash-to-Treasure Booths: Set up collection centers where visitors and youth volunteers can exchange a specific amount of plastic waste (wrappers/bottles) collected from the mela grounds for a small plant sapling or sustainable souvenir.
Digital Scoreboard: Install digital screens displaying real-time statistics like "Total Plastic Recycled Today: XX KG" to boost public pride and participation.

A commendable initiative by the District Administration Baghpat. Transforming Mahashivratri celebrations into a Zero Waste Mahotsav can set an inspiring example for sustainable and eco-friendly religious events across India. Looking forward to innovative waste management, plastic-free arrangements, and active public participation.
Faith and sustainability can go hand in hand. By making Shri Parshurameshwar Pura Mahadev Temple Mahashivratri a Zero Waste Mahotsav, we can preserve both our spiritual heritage and our environment for future generations “हरित पर्व, स्वच्छ पर्व”. My suggestion is to implement source segregation of waste, reusable steel utensils for prasad distribution, cloth bags instead of plastic, composting of floral offerings, and volunteer-led awareness drives. This can make the event a true model of a Zero Waste Mahotsav. Mahashivratri symbolizes purity and devotion. Let us honor Lord Shiva by ensuring a clean, plastic-free, and sustainable celebration.

Idea: Deposit-Return Eco Kit System
Charge ₹20 deposit at entry, give clay cup + leaf plate + cloth bag with QR code.
Return items at exit → get ₹20 back via UPI or cash.
Youth volunteers manage collection booths across the mela ground.
Unreturned item money funds next mela's green setup.

There are rampant motor cycle riders without helmets in lanes/ by lanes of Kolkata city, WB state. It appears that law enforcing agency is paying attention to this menace on main thoroughfare of this city ignoring the safety of huge numbers of passersby using such lanes daily. There is reason to believe that selective drive in a week , may be twice in week , can completely enforce lane disciplines protecting the security of common people especially the child / the senior citizens. I draw kind attention of Govt. to look into this problem & a logical remedy.

Green Seva Points & Eco-Rewards: Establish QR-enabled kiosks where devotees can deposit segregated waste (plastic, paper, organic) in exchange for 'Eco-Rewards' like plantable seed balls, cloth bags, or even a 'Green Darshan' priority pass to encourage participation.Circular Flower Waste Management: Instead of discarding floral offerings, local Self-Help Groups can be trained to collect and convert them into value-added products like organic incense sticks or compost, ensuring 'Rot' (composting) is part of the festival's lifecycle.Sustainable Alternatives for Stalls: Mandate the use of biodegradable utensils (Areca leaf plates, clay cups) and install high-capacity water refill stations to eliminate the need for single-use plastic water bottles. Vendors could be incentivized to use 'Butter Paper' or jute for all packaging.

A very good morning PM Modi ji
It's my humble request to you please put your efforts on women safety. Day by day women are getting bullied, blackmail and RAPED. Even a girl child to a old women is not safe in India. Please make some strict laws and rule so that a rapist will think 100 times before doing such a shameful act.
Thanks and regard
