As we know, the 15th-century Saint-Poet Narsinh Mehta started the tradition of Prabhat Pheri, morning devotional rounds. He used his Prabhatiya not just for devotion, but as a tool for social reform, breaking caste barriers by visiting every corner of society to spread the message of unity and love. While this beautiful tradition was fading in our fast-paced urban lives, the ‘Pushti Shala’ in the Adajan area of Surat is now reviving it. The aim is to connect the Next Generation, Social Harmony and Selfless Service. Every Sunday morning, children and their parents walk through the city streets singing bhajans.
