I appreciate the initiative of introducing Draft Accessibility Standards more effective, I would like to suggest: 1. Priority Coverage - ICT products, and packaging should be given special focus for accessibility. 2. Phased Implementation - Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) should be given a roadmap with incentives for compliance. 3. Training & Awareness - Workshop and awareness programs must be organized for manufactures, designers, and users. 4. Simple Compliance - A self-certificate or easy audit mechanism should be introduced instead of complex procedures. 5. Global Alignment - The standards should align with ISO and international accessibility norms to enhance global competitiveness of Indian products. These steps will ensure inclusivity, practicality and wider adoption, making India a leader in accessible product design. By: Baishakhi Das
