The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MSJE), in collaboration with MyGov, invites comments and suggestions from stakeholders and the general public on the draft accessibility standards for the Build Environment sector. These draft standards, which identify non-negotiable rules, have been prepared to strengthen the creation of barrier-free environments in accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and relevant rules.

All interested individuals are requested to carefully examine the proposed standards and submit their feedback, comments, and suggestions on the MyGov platform, ensuring that personal details are entered accurately during registration.

Dear Sir/Madam Came across this invention currently being prototyped and tested in Indonesia. https://www.gogreenfilter.com/#product This may be a great initiative to all our pollution woes. Our government can source a few units, evaluate its effectiveness. Based on the evaluation we can procure and effectively prevent green house emissions. Kindly share your thoughts.

1.General Principles A.Universal Design: Incorporate the 7 principles of universal design. B.Equity of Use:Ensure equal access without segregation. C.Flexibility: Accommodate a wide range of individual preferences and abilities. D.Simplicity and Intuitiveness:Easy to understand, regardless of experience or language. 2.Site Planning and Approach Routes A.Accessible Entrances:Primary entry routes must be accessible. B.Pathways: Minimum width (e.g.100 mm), non-slip surfaces,and tactile paving where necessary. B Parking:Reserved accessible spaces with appropriate signage and proximity to entrances. C.Curb Cuts and Ramps: Gentle slopes handrails, and edge protection. 3.Building Entrances and Circulation A.Corridors: Clear width (minimum 100 mm), obstacle-free circulation. B.Elevators:Audible signals,tactile buttons, and emergency communication systems. 3.Interior Spaces A.Restrooms:At least one accessible stall per restroom,grab bars, clear turning space,and lower sinks/mirror
