Proposal to Reduce TDS Rate under Section 194R from 10% to 0.1%
Current Scenario
Under Section 194R, any person providing a benefit or perquisite exceeding ₹20,000 in a financial year to a resident is required to deduct TDS at 10%. This rate is significantly higher compared to other sections, such as SECTION 194Q.
Rationale for Reduction
Alignment with Other Provisions: Reducing the TDS rate under Section 194R to 0.1% would harmonize it with Sections 194Q and 206C(1H), ensuring consistency across the IT Act.
Ease of Compliance: A lower TDS rate would reduce the financial burden on businesses, especially small and medium enterprises, facilitating easier compliance and reducing the need for refunds due to excess tax deductions.
Encouragement of Business Activities and Administrative Efficiency : Lowering the TDS rate can stimulate business activities by increasing cash flow specially in MSME cases.
Hence it is recommended to reduce the TDS rate u/s 194R from 10% to 1/2%.

Income Inequality reduction suggestions
1. Increase Public Shareholding limit for top 2000 companies to 35% for wealth distribution to larger public instead of concentration of profit pool to few big houses.
2. Non listed Public & Pvt. Companies reporting profit of more than 100 cr or any suitable figure for consecutive 3 years or more should pay tax at higher rates of 35% at par with foreign companies from 4th year or become public listed company to pay tax at lower rates.
3. Capital gain taxes in any one year more than 10 cr should be taxed at the rate of 30%. As most big business only take minimum money out of business and book them as capital gains for tax saving. This arbitrage of lower tax should be finished for higher capital gains.
4. Indexation benefit on sale of land should be removed by giving 1 year period. As most amount of black money is invested in land, so there should be no arbitrage of earning inflation adjusted returns. Normal people can use Sec 54 benefit.

Hi Sir,
As we are developing 5G and 6G internet across India, I suggest making a law that allows people to work from home or remotely.
Also, ISRO or the Indian government should start our own satellite internet or take services from Star Link so that all government schools, hospitals, and offices can be connected via the internet.
If we are not doing this then what is the use of our internet " just to download movies"
Thanks,
Vinit
