Indian National Defence University Bill, 2015 proposes to establish a world class fully autonomous institution of National Importance under Ministry of Defence. University will develop and propagate higher education (PhD, M Phil, M Tech and M Sc) in National Security Studies, Defence Management and Defence Technology and promote policy oriented research on all aspects relating to national security, both internal and external. It would also encourage awareness of national security issues by reaching out to scholars and an audience beyond the official machinery. It will also serve as a think tank contributing to policy formulation and debates on security and strategy. INDU will inculcate and promote coordination and interaction not just between the three Armed Services but also between other agencies of the Government, the Civil Bureaucracy, Para Military Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, Intelligence Services, Diplomats, Academicians, Strategic Planners, University Students and officers from Friendly Foreign Countries. It would create synergy between the academic community and Govt functionaries. It would make available opportunities for higher studies through distance learning to interested military personnel.

Initially, four new colleges / institutions, namely School of National Security Studies, School of Defence Technology, School of Defence Management and Centre for Distance and Open Learning are proposed to be set up at main campus at Binola, Gurgaon. The four existing Defence Institutions namely National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi, College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington and National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune are proposed to be brought under the ambit of INDU without diluting their powers or autonomy for award of degrees and diplomas.

The last date for sharing inputs on Draft Indian National Defense University Bill, 2015 is 21st August, 2016.

Respected sir, This university was open immediately because we are lot of proplems .this university wanted immediate platform(class,colleges,research centers ,etc) so undertake any popular university in india we use Ordnance factory, National corporate companys ,navarathana ,minirathana companies for research purpose

1. INDU should be a research university, if India wishes to be a serious player in defense technology and services 2. All offset funds should be given for INDU research 3. INDU should have representation from industry & DRDO in University, Academic & Research councils 4. All diploma degree programs should be Research based, affiliate institutions can offer academic programs 5. Statute should include partnership with international defense institutes

continued... All the professors should be responsible for particular objective and final publication. They should also collaborate with the professors outside our country even the country is our enemy like china and japan, europe and russia have huge collboration in research and a very good community of scientist are collaborating with each other. Other important need is the facility of advance instruments. The institute should focus to develop world class facility, which is open to all. Reg

Greetings to all, I am sunkulp goel pursuing post doctorate. In our country, we lag in research because of non collaborative thinking of the professors. They don't want to share ideas and always have jealous feelings with each other. The need is to change the research system in our country. Also, the recruitment of professors is always area based and caste based, very good example of this is bengali system. The institute should select professors with specialty in the field.

जमींन पर कुछ नहीं महोदय सचाई जानने की कोसिस करे आपके डिपार्टमेंट के लोग भी यही कहते है MSME Mantralay का वह गजट जिसमे PPP for MSME ,यहाँ आम इन्शान कुछ करना चाहे तो कुछ भी नही कर सकती चाहे सरकारे लाख दावा करे अफरसाही इस हद तक हावी है की इन्हे अपने सिवाय कुछ दिखाई नहीं देता पूरी तरह से अस्दावेनसिल और करप्ट है वही हमारे प्रधान मंत्री दिन रात घुम -घूम कर हमारे देश में इन्वेस्टमेंट करने की गुहार लगते नहीं थकते वही उनके सपनो का मिट्टी पालित करने में ये अधिकारी लोग लगे है

As per me, in India there is lack of patriotism.Please try to start rule that who will be born after 2019, every kid should have to serve at least 1 year in National Services like Army,Fire brigade,Police,Civil Defense which will be the part of this University.It should be mandatory and applicable to all the student after +2 or after doing their graduation.No relief for any student. At least they should have to get some chance to serve their country. It should be tied to their AAdhar.Plz Think

It is good to make a complete defence university.It must be ensured that the admission to these institutions should on the basis of entrance examination.This will help to extract the actual talent. A language test should also be organised for admission because nowadays it become necessary to have good communication skills in order to make interactions .
