The NITI Aayog-led Shoonya campaign, in partnership with MyGov India, is thrilled to announce the electric vehicles Townhall, an open discussion platform for citizens to share valuable ideas and suggestions to promote and enhance the clean electric mobility ecosystem in India. The Townhall focuses on electric vehicles (EVs) and their associated advantages, including cost savings, clean air, health benefits, and emission reduction.

In line with this initiative, NITI Aayog in collaboration with MyGov, invites input from citizens.

It would be very difficult to create new charging stations as real estate prices at places required will be high or not available. It should be made mandatory for existing petrol pumps companies to build seprate ev charging station alongside petrol pump. It should also be mandatory for parking places, Markets, Localities with self use prepaid price. Ultra fast charging charger should be subsidized for individual some time. Best thing will be to have it outside restaurant and malls at every parking place for every car parked.

Hello, Jai Shri Ram, There is about 40+ EV charging apps operating in Bharat as of now. One of the most difficult to me as EV owner to use multiple apps at different locations. Currently, I have to manage 13 apps related to EV charging also to manage separate wallet for every app. That is very difficult. I request you to develop one Nation One RFID card for EV charging solutions across all EV charging apps just like UPI, fastag, One nation One mobility card etc. It will lead to a EV boom in India.

As we envision a future centred around sustainable transportation, the emphasis should be on education, community engagement, and regulatory measures to create an environment conducive to EV adoption. By combining these efforts, cities and towns can build a seamless and inclusive EV charging network that not only meets the needs of diverse users but also accelerates the transition toward a cleaner and more sustainable mobility future. The collaboration between governments, businesses, and communities is paramount to creating a transformative and accessible infrastructure that benefits everyone.
