The Municipal Corporation Tirupati is pleased to inform you that our city has been selected under Round 2 for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). ...

The Municipal Corporation Tirupati is pleased to inform you that our city has been selected under Round 2 for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). Round 2 of smart cities challenge is been provided to 54 cities to upgrade their proposals whose city is not covered in the list of 20. Tirupati is one of them! In this phase, our city has to compete with 54 other cities, enhance our proposal and become eligible for funding in 2016-17.

The city needs to refine its vision, strategic focus, mission and a proposal based upon Gap assessment and suggestions received from panel of expert and MoUD. We urge you to share your ideas and be an integral part of the journey towards making Tirupati a smart city! Read the Draft Smart City Proposal

Being an citizen of Tirupati i would like to suggest the below points 01). concentrate on Traffic management system 02).bringing more Industries to create employment for youth because there is many educational institutes are there but there is no employment in tirupathi . 03).Infrastructure need to be improve as greater Tirupati 04).Need to maintain as green city the and do the programs to maintain the divinity of load Balaji .

1.More green parks or trees planting 2. Traffic management should be much more effective by fly overs and FOB's as the pilligrim traffic is over lapping the city traffic and creating a mess groving trees arund road 3.save money to wesht of project cosht carpeting road aftar drenej line intoletion & water line 4.No plastic covers usage needs to bring in Tirupathi also.

1. No plastic covers usage needs to bring in Tirupathi also. 2. Clean water, bathrooms availability etc 3. More green parks or trees planting 4. Vehicles pollution need to control in order to keep the air fresh. This should be implemented in everywhere. As vehicle smoke is not good for health like tobacco.

1. Smart drainage systems should be installed 2. Devoloping energy renewble resources, as we have tropical climate we can concentrate to devolop solar power 3.law and order should be more effective in much more smart ways 4. Traffic management should be much more effective by fly overs and FOB's as the pilligrim traffic is over lapping the city traffic and creating a mess 5.waste management should be much more effective
