To have a liveable Smart City Plan for Kohima, every Stakeholder and Citizen of Kohima is now invited to contribute valuable ideas towards the building of Kohima Smart City. Our Smart City Proposal is to compete with the rest of the 100 cities of the nation to be developed under the Smart City Mission. In this second phase of Inter-State Competitions, let us jointly contribute and triumph together to live a decent life in harmony.

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Kohima – a liveable Smart City.

A city is not smart until it manages its waste well. Waste management process should be decentralised and locality based, quick and real time. It is surprising to note that 70% of waste is organic in nature & can be reprocessed before it becomes waste or, thereafter, can be recycled in a sustainable manner. Kohima needs to rethink the garbage collection disposal system. Rearing of chicken and pigs in Govt./Pvt. residence needs to be address by the municipal. Water and electric supply system needs to be looked after by the municipal rather than the departments. A public audit system to check what my municipal taxes are being used for.

all the smart cities should brought adjacent to dalit settlement then only the caste barricade from caste hindus and dalits would be evacuated . they would be employed in the houses and they would come up economically and socially in well position. Any new factory or smart city or any such development should be always just adjacent and between caste hindu centuries of settlement. It will indirectly clear the social injustice.

In-order to become a smart city, we need to use our idea and plan more smarter and also should focus for long running. Here is just some few for Kohima to be smarter. 1. Should focus on long running plan. 2. Master Plan for the city. 3. IT Sector is must to compete with other. 4. Regular Electricity, Proper Road and Proper water supply to every corner of the city. 5. Technical institutes with excellent infrastructure. 6. Food Preservation and warehouse for Local products.

solved. Introduction of new companies and industries would be very beneficial for the citizens as well as for the city. We can clearly see that most of the naga youths are jobless even with good degrees and Intelect, so with the supply of these new opportunities, it'll really be beneficial for the smart city program. Clothing and retailing firms, Malls, Organic food manufacturing industries, are some examples which we can look upon.

1. Water, electricity & roads: It's high time the administration addresses these issues. 2. Kohima, as of now, is very congested. The challenge for the govt would be to create space for better movement & infrastructure development. In this regard, I will not mind if the govt starts thinking of a New Kohima. 3. Build more bridges to save land & environment. 4. Create better civic sense: organize seminar & conferences at all levels. 5. Sports infrastructure: Host National Games

To start with, the first and the most important thing to look at is the supply of electricity. Well planned and good supply of electricity will be a good start for the smart city program. Kohima is a small town with unplanned drainage system, which is also one of the cause for easy road damage, proper drainage could be of good help for both sanitation and road safety. It would be nice if there was linkage of pipelines to every household in the city, so that the problem of water scarcity would be
