The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued draft rules to ensure ease of using drones in India on the basis of trust, self-certification, and non-intrusive monitoring. The Drone Rules, 2021, once notified, will supersede the UAS Rules, 2021, which came into force on March 12 this year.

The Rules aim to make the process of owning, possessing, exporting, importing, manufacturing, trading, leasing, operating, transferring, or maintaining a drone in India, simpler and hassle-free. For that, the draft rules seek to abolish the requirement of various approvals, ranging from certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, to student remote pilot licences.

Besides, it proposes the development of drone corridors for cargo deliveries and a drone promotion council to be set up to facilitate a drone-friendly regulatory regime in the country.

Click here to view The draft of Draft Drone Rules, 2021, which is issued for public consultation for seeking feedback and suggestions.

The last date of submission is August 5, 2021.

It should be registered like motor vehicles, Every drone should be gps enabled. Owner license should be connected with it. Private and Commercial usage should have different rules and guidelines. Activities should be under surveillance with trackers and able to sync with govt authority without any changes in data.

Drone is very innovative technology, wherein one side it's very beneficial for official survey of remote & confined space. But on other side it can be misused & hamper privacy. Thus for commercial purpose drone is best & it's permission/ approval process should be smoothen, wherein drone flight information must be tracked with GPS & recovered as an when required from Govt database. Consumer purpose should be treated as strict. Selling to cosumer should have strict rules & license.

Every Drone manufacturer whether it is a company or individual should be registered under a government agency which should be functioned under the guidance of ministry of defense as the drones are areal threats also, so everyone should be registered whether buyer or seller with complete details and granted a license, for a developing nation we can't ban or make imposition on that field, we have to grow this field also it's a huge demanding field in general uses and can generate a huge tax also

The new Rules seems to be awesome but also need to have detailed view on that. cancellation of license on nano drones or low level drones will more issues for government. Many india can easily buy those drones and they can create issues in their surrounding without knowing the seriousness. To avoid this Government should introduce a online permission for the Individual who ever tries to lift the drone. so that He will be aware and also obey by the Law. Apart from that it's a welcoming move🇮🇳❤️
