The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued draft rules to ensure ease of using drones in India on the basis of trust, self-certification, and non-intrusive monitoring. The Drone Rules, 2021, once notified, will supersede the UAS Rules, 2021, which came into force on March 12 this year.

The Rules aim to make the process of owning, possessing, exporting, importing, manufacturing, trading, leasing, operating, transferring, or maintaining a drone in India, simpler and hassle-free. For that, the draft rules seek to abolish the requirement of various approvals, ranging from certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, to student remote pilot licences.

Besides, it proposes the development of drone corridors for cargo deliveries and a drone promotion council to be set up to facilitate a drone-friendly regulatory regime in the country.

Click here to view The draft of Draft Drone Rules, 2021, which is issued for public consultation for seeking feedback and suggestions.

The last date of submission is August 5, 2021.

It's a good decision taken by government in getting citizens thought on Drones . * Government should not permit any private Drones to be operated in our country. * Government should have fully operational control of Drones. * Indian government should allow only manufacturers of India to be produced for Government. * Drones can be allowed to be used for further R & D by higher educational institutions and other researchers. if made public, it will be a chaos and uncomfortable.

there may be people who can misuse the drone technology , hence there should be a tracking system which can figure out a drone which does not have licence. in short there needs to be some specific censors which can prevent fake drone. it is a must thing to do to prevent the danger to privacy.

Drone are not for everybody. even not for any news channel. not allow to personnel use. not even for rich people's. Google map already disclose all roads, locations all over the place. we have lot of security army navy airforce locations. in future Drones will become guided missiles and major disaster in war like situations. it is only for defense use.. In future drones will come in small shapes like fly and mosquitos,, and that will change future politics of war and supremacy of the nations

There should be a limit to what type of drones civilians can use. Drones with Advanced camera should not be allowed with ir Cameras and should have attachments which can disrupt the area networks and mobile connectivity. No modification other than what was bought. Not allowed near airports and military installations. Self made drones cannot be used in public spaces.
