In the recently concluded Rio Olympics 2016, India sent its largest ever Olympic contingent comprising of 118 athletes. Despite the large number of athletes, the Indian contingent managed to bag only 2 medals in the Games viz., one Silver medal in Badminton and one Bronze medal in Wrestling. Considering the size of our country it can be said that the present performance was not up to the country’s potential. Views/suggestions are invited on what specific steps need to be taken to realise full sporting potential of India in forthcoming Olympics in 2020, 2024 and 2028.

We need a kind of such official lab, through which all food supplements go through scanner. And after finding that there is no any banned drug into it, than only it should be available to sports persons. Which than help to reduce doping charges. Because it hearts a sports person most. #MyGov, #MoYAS

The problem with our so called dismal performance is not due to lack of talent , but it's due lack of identifying the talent. In order to go around this we need to built an infrastructure where we can start a campaign 'Catch them young' where at school level itself potential champions can be identified and necessary training to them in their field of interest can be given to them where in which when they finish 10th std they should have global exposure and immense potential under their belt.

आदरणीय खेल को भारतीय सेना से जोङा जावे , खिलाङीयो को सेना मे कमिसन ऑफिसर के रूप मे नियुक्त भी कर सकते है ताकि नौकरी की चिंता से मुक्त रह कर खेल सके । धन्यवाद

1.giving 1 cr to a single winning candidate is less worthier than spending it on 1000 sport aspirant who will lead the sport in future. 2.celebrating sucess at olympics level is good but sucess of a sportsman at village level is necessary 3.just like primary school ,provide facility of sports at primary level either in primary school or at panchayat level. a well developed hierarchy of selection committee from illage to national level is necessary. 4.infra,training,incentive

Physical education should be given much priority like education. To be particular instead select few games in which we have specialised trainers and send only those athelets and related coachs and trainers to olympics.. Allocate a valid fund to the olympics and make sure this fund is been properly used only to the athelets by forming a special board members. Select and train athelets not based on caste or any specific community in all sports. Jai hind

I thing private schools should be roped in and encouraged to open up sports academies in there premises. When these schools are doing well in education then why not sports. The Govt should encourage or say make basic sports activities mandatory in private schools with schemes, incentives etc. Children are talented but lack vision.
