E-sites like AMAZON, FLIPKART and SNAPDEAL are already selling LED Bulbs at lesser cost ranging from 150 to 200 for a 9W and 12W LED bulbs, If Govt can rope in PDS shops, LPG Gas agencies and Petrol Pump stations then the distribution of these LED bulbs at very affordable costs can reach most of the population. Some of Post Offices can also be roped in to sell these LED bulbs which van resolve electricity crisis, in addition we need energy audit teams to visit hotels and offices to save power.

The Government asks manufacturers to stop producing incandescent bulbs and may provide certain subsidiary to the manufacturers.

Dear sir, I Mudireddy Ramachandraiah,Rtd chief engineer in irrigation dept,govt of telangana state,do hereby suggests that the people will purchase the LED bulbs if the cost is more or less the same with existing bulbs or ban the production of ordinary bulbs so that people use the led bulbs as an alternative lighting source. Promote ideas like, replace at-least one ordinary bulb/tube with new LED bulbs in a month. After a particular period it will make a huge change. It's worth to spend at-least 300 Rs for LED's in a month. Also in India the current LED bulb rates can be slashes to some more extend. Make mandtory the use of LED, cash transfer for use of LED bulb, replace the older system transfer cash benefit.

Take away the vat and the service charges on the LED bulbs,then provide to the village people AS the government provide food on monthly basis,who has card like BPL& APL.this would work out.

1. More variety in terms of wattage and shapes should be brought in the market to cater to various needs 2. Use PDS, Post offices, Banks, Local Bodies on attractive commission basis to promote and distribute the LEDs 3. Use finance schemes for purchase of LEDs (and billing the EMIs along with electricity Bills) 4. For commercial / industrial establishments give them loans for LED installation at concessional rates or other benefits in taxes based on LED installation certificates
