Dear Citizens and Stakeholders

Our city “Kanpur” selected for ROUND-2 under Smart City Mission. At present, Kanpur is in the process of preparing the revised Smart City Proposal. Therefore your valuable suggestions are solicited to revise the Smart City Proposal of Kanpur City for Round-2 submission to Government of India (GoI).
After a lot of deliberation among Kanpur Municipal Corporation (KMC) official and the citizens of Kanpur, during Citizen’s Engagement Round - 1, Smart City Proposal for Kanpur included:
1. PAN City proposal
2. Area based development

So, we invite all citizens of Kanpur to participate in this review process where they can share their suggestions to help KMC reformulate the Smart City Proposal in Smart City Mission Round-2 challenge the links of which have been provided underneath and submit your valuable suggestions here within 30/04/2016.

Maximum utilisation of solar power for street lights and rain water harvesting for water scarcity and also to overcome water logging. This is what a Smart kanpur should have still there are lack of Street Lights in various parts of the city. All street lights should be replaced with LED lights. A well lit city is a Smart City.

he proposals for KANPUR City are specific and address the subjects and issues discussed in previous MyGov events. Implementation of these proposals, specially the area based proposals , will bring a change in city's character. kanpur seems to be a strong competitor in Smart City Challenge and it can be seen through the solutions proposed for various sectors.

1-In past 2 years Only KESCO has evolved to be Customer friendly whereas there is poor Digitalization of KMC and Jalnigam. 2-Water supply is erratic and laid pipelines leak on every testing. Time bound and accountable action required. 3- Traffic management needs clarity. Running of rickshaws, Electric tempos, horse carts, two n Four wheelers on same path creates chaos, lack of footpaths and monitored zebra crossings missing. 4- helmets for 2 wheelers, unauthorized parking needs to removed
