It is hereby to inform you that I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Child Rights (concerning the rights of children of prisoner). I would like to showcase the reality which is a nightmare for the children who are been collaterally victimized due to incarceration of their parents. The most horrifying scenario, there is no central legislation pondering the rights and interests of the children of incarcerated parents across the country. Though we are very much aware the child protection is a matter of List-II, but a uniform guidance is sine-qua-non for the same. The prevailing scenario is completely untouched in contemplation of the children rights specifically who are living in the community during their parental incarceration. Those children only get addressed in government action who are living with mother prisoner. Kindly take into consideration.
