Dear prime minister, swacch bharat mission is fine if you can implement some strategies instead of taking a broom or tagging celebreties. First, the domesticated animals should not be left on the roads. Apart from the cow dung, urine, motion, etc., they cause a lot of accidents and public discomfort, threating the life of the animal itself. Second, ban sticking posters, even for political reasons, even in rural areas. They spoil the aura of the walls and lamp posts.

Somewhere i feel my town(Ambernath) is moving towards the dirtiest towns on mumbai suburbs, the major contributor of dirty Mumbai is gutka tambakoo stains, along with plastic, we can not even say those spitters not to spit, they behave rude and say " tujhe kya padi hai" the only solution is to impose strict penality or completely banning the Pan gutkha tambakoo and plastics.

It is hardly to see people throwaway used news paper on the street. The reason behind may be the used news papers have a resell value. If we can attach some value to the garbage, probably it will motivate people not of "waste"garbage. Simultaneously, it is necessary to install modern solid waste management system (to be developed by IITs mandatory)of adequate capability to all Gram Panchayets and Municipalities. An additional tax surcharge may be thought of for this initiatives.

We do find a lot of defaulters (over speeding, damaging public property , spitting on road, throwing litter etc). While posing a heavy fine, can we make accountable for a social service as in - picking up garbage in an area for a day, washing/cleaning up a street etc No need to monitor as well , just check on the last day, If the task is completed leave him or let him/her start again. As Government we provide with him the tools/dress for the job. this is how we make people a part of SBA.

Clean India-In Urban areas especially a good part of the problem is unrestricted hawkers selling food and you can't stop them.Simply TV channels running after people will not do Why doesn't the Government make it compounding offence for hawkers if they do not compulsorily put up a waste bin. It would be better if a colour could also be given to identify the larger issue of division but in our country as it is likely to be diluted very soon at least let them start with black D Das,Shillong

80 years back..My grand-father lived in big family, close to 50 people used to have lunch everyday in home.the everyday waste was close to fill the bin. Now,i live with family of 6 and 4-6 have lunch on everyday.the everyday waste is close to fill the bin..waste in house of 50 people=waste of 4/6 people..how? whats that i don't do??A simple answer i found: i consider most as waste but they consider most as useful..so better waste segregation will make our country SWATCH BHARATH. Dear Sir, Lot of efforts are being made to clean India and the laudable initiative. However, the initiative in any area looses the spirit as people again start litters not because they want to make it dirty but because they do not find enough dustbins in and around. Therefore, I request you, we should make enough provisions so that they get an option to throw in dustbins than on roads. regards shivesh
