No cleanliness drive is successful unless we make enough arrangements for garbage disposal. Heaps of garbage lying on roadside is a common sight in both small and big cities in India and this is the saddest part of our country. This dirt can be removed only we have enough and solid arrangements for garbage disposal in almost every district. Specialised industries need to be set up in to make better use of garbage. One may even take lessons from other countries as we in this direction.

I recently read a news article where 109 individuals were arrested by police for urinating in public. Though I am glad that government is taking action against these people, I urge it to develop enough provisions so that people stop doing this. My two cents: 1. Build more public bathrooms (chargeable of course) 2. Keep enough dustbins to avoid loitering Maintenance of these two is the key. Thanks.

Sir....as regards urban cleanliness if we are really serious about it then we should put in place cleanliness laws and it's strict compliance as it's done in Singapore to show our intent and seriousness to the general masses. Deterrents should be in place to prevent garbage littering in public. Developed countries are clean not just because people there voluntarily keep their country clean it's more so because there is hefty fine and deterrent against littering in public.

#SwachhBharat Fine Fine Fine !..Sir can we please have heavy fine for loittering. A dedicated department (not sure if such exists..bcos never seen anything in Mumbai) shud hire many people which wud also lead to employment. Even educated jerks throw wrappers, paan, tobacco, cig butts here and there. Hefty fine of more than 500 rupees is the only solution now. Time is running fast and we are way behind. Such people when travel abroad don't even dare to do..but its India's soft stance
