Arts education offers children opportunities to encounter various cultures from different countries and different times by using universally understandable forms of expression such as singing, dancing and painting. Through appreciation of these artistic works, children can see that there are various ways of presenting emotion and different priority of value in the world. They can also learn that all cultures fundamentally share same kinds of value like awe of nature, respect for a god etc.
