Gather all heads of the religions along with the educationalists, ask them to provide the content government can teach about the religions, commonalities between them and impart this in the curriculum. So that student will learn all religions in the school, this will help to bridge gaps between the religions. Students will start respecting the differences and celebrating the commons.

When I was in secondary schools (Maharashtra) we used to have subjects like Mullya Shikshan and Karyanubhav. Unfortunately, These two subjects are no more in the syllabus. But, what I feel today is, these two subjects means a lot in life since they help to develop a character and once a character is developed in a person then there is ease to learn rest of the subjects. Off course, these two subjects must be taught with same value as others which was not the case during my education.

in Govt schools there should be more support to co-curricular activities. (specifying govt schools here because pvt schools already include it n pay importance to this also) they should promote co-curricular activites, n teachers should support it too , they should motivate children to take up their choice of activities or games, n that too unbiasedly. i believe every child should b given equal opportunities without any bias which is absent in most govt school.

one more suggestion i would like to add that even parents should be given awareness classes regarding the same once in a month or so as i have observed they are neglecting many things especially related to moral values of their children. I believe Moral science is a subject of high importance and should be taken into consideration as soon as possible. and yes compulsory at school level because it is where the foundation making takes place.

Hi, Its been on my mind from long..wanted to suggest that Moral Education should be made a Compulsory subject not till fifth standard but should be continued till 10th. because these days we can observe children behaving not the way they should, they have forgotten manners n even the way of talking n launguage has become rude. respecting individuals around is also been kind of forgotten. and yes no need to mention the lost sense of helping each other.

The education curriculum should emphasize on inculcating "a sense of pride for being an Indian". This will be catalyst for many things that the new education policy is trying to address. If the students are proud of being an Indian, where ever the national pride is at stake (say India having highest number of people defecating in the open) they will act to eradicate the problem. Similarly many students may take up scientific research to increase India's share in international research. - Gayatri

Introduce Anapana Meditation in schools till 12th standard. And introduce Vipassana meditation for the keen after 10th standard. Mitra program in Maharashtra is an example of inculcating ethics, morality, humanity, compassion, concentration, peace and love in children. All ministers should undergo Vipassana training, they should be ready to change and adopt the compassionate selfless way of service - and practice daily.
