Manual Scavenging is a black mark on any civilized society 1.Lack of modern sanitation facilities promotes the practise of manual sacvenging.2.One also needs to change the mentality and attitude of people who force the job of manual scavenging on a particular community. we need to sensitize the society toward the necessity of rehabilitation of these manual scavengers and also hold the administrators of the area accountable where manual scavenging is still practiced.

Dear Sir, There is no doubt that we should get rid of manual scavenging as we are in 21st century. What we should do is the most important factor: 1. We need to have a list that how many villages/towns having scavenging problems 2. Once we get the data we need to analyze and get the statistics. 3. Generally we see women are involved in the manual scavenging, we must stop this to uplift women. 4.There is beautiful site www.janmsidh.com to make a list of all these common issues at grass root level

Respected PM Manual scavenging should be stopped, and we can learn from other countries and try them here and if found good then why not we adopt them here. Many had lost their life, why not we adopt, what other developed nations use.

There should be resolve to remove hate against scavenging. Youth should be introduced in schools and there work to be appreciated and rewarded. Menial scavenging should change to self scavenging.
