IN INDIA, TB PATIENTS' JOBS IN DANGER!! There is no leave policy defined in IT sector for TB Patients under treatment.They are considered less useful to Corporate work load & asked to leave jobs. Medical treatment consists of intake of huge medication due to which tb patients need appropriate sleep & food breaks. Patients under TB treatment need enough sleep, less stress & flexible timings hence they are considered ineffective to company cost. They are refused leaves, blamed for moderate/less/poor performance in their jobs. Hence, asked to leave company & when they apply other jobs, they are rejected with medical reason. Why there is only law in govt.sector & why not for Corporate sector for such diseases?? Why there is no leave policy defined? Granting of Jobs should be made compulsory for such cases.

I am awaiting to hear from the respective depts on the policy or plan of action proposed for waste Management. Unless a Firm Policy is in place all the ideas and a few efforts here and there would have a short term effect only . Manual scavenging can certainly and definitely be eliminated if every generator of waste is made to act responsible and accountable for His/her action. We have a thoroughly worked out prog, "Integrated Solid Waste Management, Citizen Perceptions" that is tried n tested.
