Dear Sir, We have diverse languages and culture in India. The development of each language relates with the culture. Hence we need to separate "Science" from "Languages". That is we make a common curriculum for all the schools in India for Science subjects and specialised curriculum for each of the languages in practise with Endlish, Sanskrit and Hindi being taught throughout the country. The states / UTs can prepare curriculum for each regional language and submit for recognition from centre.

Sanskrit language is like an invisible thread of Bhaarat that links its ancient history through time to today. It links Bhaarat from North to the South, from West to the East. Sanskrit is still used in many auspicious occasions or to name people or things. It must have a strong foundation if it survived so long. It could have been the common language of communication throughout Bhaarat without a doubt. How come it is not? Or were the Indians made or forced to forget? Think?

Learning multiple languages - Indian or foreign, is always a plus, whether moving within Bhaarat or outside of Bhaarat. On the same frequency, it would be wonderful if Sanskrit, an ancient language, indigenous to Bhaarat can be taught to all children. They will then have access to a treasure of knowledge coming from ages, as well as they can have an eye open and recognize the stolen treasure if they happen to visit foreign countries, especially British and Germany.

Due to globalization of the Indian economy, the demand for learning foreign languages is on the rise. ITES (Information Technology Enabled Service) and Outsourcing have brought a lot of job opportunities paving the way for the learning foreign languages.German is the native language of more than 100 million people in Europe and is spoken as a foreign language by over 75 million people worldwide. Learning German has opened up job prospects in Germany as well as in multinational companies

Studying German as a foreign language is perhaps the best way to remain connected with most of Europe as it helps you to communicate in the most widely spoken language in Europe after English. It not only creates an opportunity to study or work in Germany but also enables you to successfully imbibe in yourself the perfection of Germany with the soulfulness of India in doing whatever you do. In studying German, you become an ambassador of India to Germany.

Knowing or learning about a new culture, via language breaks down barriers. Brought up in 2 different cultures, I speak 3 languages with native fluency and feel at home in more than one location on Earth. Because of my "proficiency" in multiple languages, the world has always been an open place for me. I have made sure that my child knows the languages I speak, especially German, a rich language, which has a wider horizon than any other as far as the future of our world is concerned

In today's world of globalisation how can we ignore the importance of foreign languages? Why are we scared of learning a foreign language? Will learning a foreign language make us forget our culture? Are we not suspecting our own upbringing? I read somewhere that we should give roots and wings to our children. By giving them good upbringing, educating them about our culture we are giving them roots but by not making them global(restricting them to learn foreign language)we are not giving them wings
