संस्कृति मंत्रालय के मिशन में कला और संस्कृति के सभी रूपों का परिरक्षण, संवर्धन और प्रसार करना शामिल है। इस मिशन की प्राप्ति के लिए मंत्रालय निम्न लिखित कार्यकलाप संचालित करता है :-

• विरासत, ऐतिहासिक स्थलों और प्राचीन स्मारकों का रख-रखाव और संरक्षण कार्य
• पुस्तकालयों का संचालन करना
• साहित्यिक, दृश्य और मंच कलाओं का संवर्धन करना
• महत्त्वपूर्ण राष्ट्रीय हस्तियों और घटनाक्रमों की शताब्दियां और वार्षिकोत्सव मनाना
• बौद्ध धर्म एवं तिब्बती अध्यीयनों से संबंधित संस्थाओं और संगठनों का संवर्धन करना
• कला और संस्कृति के क्षेत्रों में संस्थांगत और व्यक्तिगत गैर-सरकारी प्रयासों का संवर्धन करना
• बाहर के देशों के साथ सांस्कृतिक करारों पर हस्ताक्षर करना

इस मंत्रालय की कार्यात्मक विस्तृत सूची की श्रृंखला में आरंभिक स्तर से लेकर अंतरराष्ट्रीय सांस्कृतिक आदान-प्रदान स्तर तक सांस्कृतिक जागरूकता सृजित करना शामिल है। सांस्कृतिक कार्यकलापों को संवर्धित करने के लिए वित्ती्य सहायता प्रदान करने संबंधी संस्कृति मंत्रालय द्वारा संचालित किए जा रहे अनेक योजनाओं के बारे में जानकारी इस मंत्रालय की वेबसाइट (http://indiaculture.nic.in/) पर उपलब्ध हैं।

भारत की संस्कृति और विरासत के व्यापक प्रचार- प्रसार करने हेतु, इस मंत्रालय ने मीडिया और जनसंवाद माध्यमों का इष्टतम उपयोग हासिल करने के लिए अभिनव विचार/कल्पना और सुझाव आमंत्रित करने का निर्णय लिया है|

अनुरोध है कि व्यक्तिगत सुझाव लगभग 200 शब्दों तक सीमित होने चाहिएं।

1. Creation of separate and independent collaborative media management platform 2. An interactive site like 'web3.0'of the MOC may be developed 3. Collaborative programmes to be organised by MOC or different organisations under MOC sponsorships 4. Organising Cultural Exchange programmes more variedly and widely 5. Meeting Indian as well as foreign visitors at various Fairs like International Book Fair 6. Organising National level Workshop of the media cell persons for capacity building

I can be totally wrong on CASTE SYSTEM. What I really.. I need answer about DARK MATTER, DARK ENERGY , MULTIVERSE , BIG-BANG , BLACK HOLE, TIME what it means according to our scripture. Is it really means VISHNU , SHIV- SHAKTI, ADIVISHNU, SADA SHIV , KRISHNA ? Can u give that answer.. that's all matters as far as what my CULTURE I want to take with me ? Can you give me that ? Everything else is PAST.. Grateful that I born in INDIA but TRUTH is still same BETTER I work on its recognition .

Earning money & making career we are not born for that. And i believe if don't leave this values that's how we are protecting our heritage and RICH culture. Taking whole NEXT GENERATION towards CLEAN ENERGY, RENEWABLE ENERGY, SOLAR ENERGY that is more important. that is the only way we can reach to the NEXT step of the HUMANITY.so that culture is important.

Because I believe Even all hindus get converted to some other religion basically it is still same what we are believing I mean there is nothing to get HYPER about our cultural history but that does not mean we should not preserve them. I feel as far as a person is respecting elders, want to live with their parents, should not believe that earning money that's why we are born on earth, they take care their small children by themselves instead of sending to baby sitters, all this lifestyle needed

All this is RIGHT about HERITAGE sites. BUT what we don't have is ARCHIVES for ANCIENT RECORDS. In VATICAN city there is 85 kilometer long Vatican Secret Archives. What I want is that Library just on Ancient Records History. And Open for everybody. I want to see records description since 4 caste system established by SaptRISHI (PLEIADS). Understanding that how this CASTE come ? It is not established by any HINDU god. And what was before that ? I need that to get preserved.

Sir when we going to start considering MUSLIM heritage openly as our HERITAGE our culture. BECAUSE biggest misconception is happening right now is people just stop everything on RSS & which is so stupid. I mean of course we can't change what they want to think but that is also true that in order recognize our power in diversity we must focus on BOTH traditions & expression that we are giving possibly equal importance to their STORIES & HEROES. Their ROOTS.

Virtual tourism will allow a user to experience the serenity of a place from anywhere. This seems to me the best solution. And how to embed that into daily life? One of the ways can be - Games! If we see the statistics of users playing games, it is insane. What if the games are based on these real places? What if the games teach users to preserve the cultural values? Games can teach a lot of things to users. Rewards can be to experience those places in reality-A ticket to travel to that place..

In my view, media can play an important role in promoting Indian culture and heritage. One of the ways is, starting new telivision travel channels which will also increase the jobs in travel discipline. Most of the people, including me, like to watch these shows and get attracted towards the culture and its values. Other way is through radio. Similar shows can be promoted through radio as well where Country music(region wise) can be promoted. Another way is Virtual tourism -to be continued..

Movies are prime source of exposing cultural heritage and development. Need is for creating infrastructure so well that even foreign movie productions crave for Indian Heritage locations. Further Bollywood must be attracted towards shooting in India. Things to do: 1. Maintenance, eco-friendlyness and cleanliness of heritage sites by creating jobs 2. Provision of trained tourist guides via starting tourism education 3. Transportation and facilities especially in remote locations

It is a great pleasure to express my views, send proposals and share my ideas for a Nobel Cause. We are always interested to know more about Cultural heritages of different states, even we spent money to visit different parts of our Nation only for the purposes. Electronic Media may be of best use for promoting Indian Culture and Heritages across our Country and it is very important part for our good civic society. Arrangement of Cultural Exchange program is an important factor, between states.
