I have already posted in the other section under state public universities- use Moocs and other mass media including tv to improve literacy proficiency. The advantage of Moocs over tv is that it is not time bound- women/ alternate learners can work on flexible time. Parameters for success: flexibility in time, teaching methods that are differentiated according to the learning styles/ environment of the learner and timeline goals with an IEP- Individual Education Plan- this can be done digitally

I am sorry, the idea of "separating" students under women, SCs, STs, Minorities is nonsense. In India, Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge and wisdom is depicted in white- why- because white has all the colors in it and is neutral. Education needs to be that- one quality education irrespective of the backgrounds and socio-economic status of the learners. The problem is when we "segregate", there's more differentiation for budgets, quality etc. Every Indian has a right to a comprehensive educatn.

In any new education policy, emphasis need to be placed on primary (classes 1-5) and high school education (classes 6-12) in rural areas. It is absolutely vital that rural schools be properly staffed with quality teachers and staff and that schools have all the necessary infrastructure like classrooms, supplies, and furniture. My first hand experience of visiting some of the schools in western UP has been shocking to say the least. Most schools have no schools supplies or qualified teachers.

Sir, I simply believe that opening an Education Institute or a school has become the most profitable business in India. I studied in a Government school with nominal fees, very good teachers and moreover no extra tuition. Teachers were giving extra classes out of their own. But now big names, big schools, big buildings, big fees. But in spite of this there is an addition of huge tuition expenses. What is this going on? A poor person can't stand this situation. Govt should take care of education.
