Before making a decision, consumers should dig into the facts of the advertisement. Consumer should ask for backup evidence or written statement of advertisement. Consumer should take time to read or understand the "Terms and Conditions" before making decision. If the advertisement is false, then the company should be dragged to consumer's court.

Railway ticket bookings timeperiod should be cut down to 15 days time only as most of the passengers dont plan the journey 2 months back & opening the bookings way back make them dependent on touts to get the ticket. to avoid fake bookings the cancellation charges may be increased upto a significant limit.

Transfer of road tax from one state RTO to other RTO : As relocations are very common these days due to frequent job changes, During relocating with vehicle People have to pay the state road tax again & the process to get the same from previous RTO is almost impossible. It could be made simpler if the person is asked to submit only a letter/form to the new RTO to get the road tax transferred from old RTO to new RTO. This will reduce the loss of public money.

Misleading Advertisement leads to various confusions amongst the people leading them in a wrong path. So various steps should be taken in guiding the general public so that they can judge what is right and what is wrong. Punishment should be given to advertisers who is trying to lead in a wrong way for the sake of earning money. A toll free number should be provided so that anyone can made a complaint against them.

There should forums (both online & offline), where the citizens can lodge complain against such misleading ads. Provision should be there, where such cases are solved on fast-track basis. Punishment should be innovative in nature. Like they have to keep there locality clean. or using the same media, which they have used for misleading ads, they have to acknowledge that the ads were false.

I wish our PM and Ministers and all the government staff a happy new year 2015. Advertisements should be checked by the government or any official for approval. In the TV advertisement windows should be banned where all negative is being displayed. Writing on the TV screen should be restricted to only one row. Telecast of the TV programs and advertisements must be approved by a government official or there must be a contact number where we can complain about the advertisement to the official.

This is a rampant problem in newspaper, inside local trains, on walls along rail tracks, in televison. Government should provide telephone numbers and online complaint platforms where citizens can report misleading advertisements and action against such ads taken against such ads need to be update on the relevant government websites plus government I&B department should inform print and electronic media of such actions thereby setting an example for people who promote such misleading ads.

I feel there should be an Approval Competent authority to approve Advertisements before Display, if some thing is fake then it should not be Published at all, because the consumer only comes to know that the advertisement is fake, when he is involved in that activity and finds himself cheated. Some of these includes network marketing were people are getting Cheated after investing there money and don't make the chain and then they end up in losing Money.
