वर्ष 2015-16 के दौरान घरेलू मांग को पूरा करने के लिए भारत ने आयात पर 4.82 लाख करोड़ रुपये खर्च किए। आयात का बोझ कम करने के लिए और बेहतर पर्यावरण के लिए, जनता को सप्ताह में एक दिन पेट्रोल/डीजल का इस्तेमाल न करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित/प्रेरित करने का प्रस्ताव है।

हमारे माननीय प्रधान मंत्री ने सभी नागरिकों से सप्ताह में एक दिन के लिए पेट्रोल / डीजल के इस्तेमाल से बचने का आग्रह किया है। उन्होंने कहा है कि अगर 125 करोड़ भारतीयों ने ऐसा करने की प्रतिज्ञा की, तो 'न्यू इंडिया' का सपना हासिल किया जा सकता है।

हर हफ्ते एक दिन के लिए, जनता को पेट्रोल/डीजल का इस्तेमाल न करने के लिए, त्साहित/प्रेरित करने के तरीकों का सुझाव देने के लिए आप सब आमंत्रित हैं।

सुझाव देने की आखरी तारीख 8 अप्रैल, 2017, दोपहर 12 बजे तक है|

As of now fuel used in many ways in day to day life like Generators, Private/public Transportation etc Generators used due to unavailability of electricity. Private Transportation due to unavailability or due to inflexible public transports. #Generators we can control if ensure electricity in those areas. Also make side/cycle walks indications on road and put banners/advertisements to use CYCLES for near by works. Publish public transport schedule and ask suggestion for new routes.

Additional suggestions to move to clean energy: Using a system like Project Sunroof - https://www.google.com/get/sunroof and designing it for India, more investments in renewable energy storage such as Tesla's battery packs, and encouraging cleantech startups. This would greatly help in reducing imports for petroleum/natural gas and accelerate our transition to clean energy. With the right strategies, the shift can happen faster than we think.

The best way would be to directly communicate the 'why': Why should citizens give up fossil fuels for a day? Explaining the benefits and consequences in a way that adds value to the people would have the most effect. For example, less diseases due to pollution, time saved due to less traffic, and less stress. Incentives can be another great way to move away from fossil fuels. Encouraging hybrid/electric vehicles by having special parking spots, tax incentives etc.

For reducing carbon footprints it`s goo initiative but far more can be done. Why not to make it compulsory for every developer and construction more than 200 square meter multistory building must install 10KW of solar like rain harvesting is compulsory. No one installs solar energy voluntary until it`s compulsory in law like nobody wants to purchase helmet while purchasing 2wheeler however in both cases it`s concerned with our own safety. This will surely help in reducing carbon footprints.

Please make a separate lane for Bicycles. I am leaving in Bangalore. The outer ring road is almost 10 lanes wide including service roads but all the time its jammed with traffic because of private and illegible shuttles/transport vehicles. If govt is not able to take any actions on these vehicles , at least make one lane for bicycles. So people can prefer bicycles to avoid traffic and encourage pollution free environment.

1 Make metro travell cheep for one day in a weak same with bus travel to encorage people to use public transport 2 Make pay and use e cycles to travell short distances 3 reintroduce cheep tram service just like Hong Kong tram service 4 collect 50% tax on purchase of new car or bike 4 lakh car should have 2lakh tax to buy 5 limit Use digital carbon footprint 6 Give surprise awards for indvidual family company who follow specified crietera an ounce on 26 Jan 15 Aug or over man ki baat
