वर्ष 2015-16 के दौरान घरेलू मांग को पूरा करने के लिए भारत ने आयात पर 4.82 लाख करोड़ रुपये खर्च किए। आयात का बोझ कम करने के लिए और बेहतर पर्यावरण के लिए, जनता को सप्ताह में एक दिन पेट्रोल/डीजल का इस्तेमाल न करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित/प्रेरित करने का प्रस्ताव है।

हमारे माननीय प्रधान मंत्री ने सभी नागरिकों से सप्ताह में एक दिन के लिए पेट्रोल / डीजल के इस्तेमाल से बचने का आग्रह किया है। उन्होंने कहा है कि अगर 125 करोड़ भारतीयों ने ऐसा करने की प्रतिज्ञा की, तो 'न्यू इंडिया' का सपना हासिल किया जा सकता है।

हर हफ्ते एक दिन के लिए, जनता को पेट्रोल/डीजल का इस्तेमाल न करने के लिए, त्साहित/प्रेरित करने के तरीकों का सुझाव देने के लिए आप सब आमंत्रित हैं।

सुझाव देने की आखरी तारीख 8 अप्रैल, 2017, दोपहर 12 बजे तक है|

1] Public places like Gardens, Aquariums should charge higher on tickets as well as Parking for any particular day eg Sunday and same way for public without vehicles should be given discount on tickets. 2] Mall, Multiplex, parking slot for which Municipal Corporations are leving charges should be high for any particular day eg Sunday 3] For Indians Compulsion is must. Forcibly-after giving various ads, police engagement with public on awareness for 1.5 years-make it rule giving exceptions.

it is not so easy but not too hard. for encouraging people in this area will take some cost. govt should advertise the less use of car or vehicle with help of some MPs and minister,let the people know that it is not bad to use bicycle instead of this . Promote the farmer to crop the biodiesel plant.make the availability of metro train in highly populated area. govt should open the market for Hybrid and hydro-fuel car.

Sir all govt and private sector and multinational company employs week mai eak din sabhi public transport ka use kara eas kay lya eak circular jari karna chi ki week mai eak din koye bhi apni gadi ka office aana or jana kay lya use nahi kara ga eas say patrol bhi save hoga or public transport ki bhi income ho gi

Citizens would be encouraged to forego petrol / diesel if they are guaranteed effective public transportation; excellent cycling paths within city and good green cover that would reduce pollution, which would encourage them to walk and thereby bring the traffic down on road for short distance, which will reduce stress and improve health of the nation.

I am from Kanpur city. the main reason for pollution is not vehicle. it is the thick layer of dust which is on the road and beside the road. kindly ask the KMC to remove this dust so that we can breathe in this air. ask the traffic police dept. to add traffic lights so that traffic may move properly. and put heavy fines on those who breaks traffic rules or throw garbage on the roads

1. Petrol pumps may go off for a day - mandatory 2. Petrol pumps owned or operated by PSU may be limited to cater / feed emergency and govt. approved consumption of petrol / diesel on that day. The legislator and other bureaucratic brains has to devise how the above 2 proposal can go hand in hand without a bleak. A strong decision in compulsions shall lead in acceptance for sure. We Indians were deprived of a leader with courage to take decisions, at last after 70years a change..

One can use public transport like CNG buses & taxi & those have to go near around can use eco-rickshaw, bicycle or he/she can go by foot. I think one day should be fixed by government in a week, but to implement that sufficient public transport should be there like electric, biodiesel or CNG buses or taxis should be there also in some areas people only depend on their own vehicles we have to encourage people a lot & promotion is needed like cycling makes you happier, healthier & wealthier
