वर्ष 2015-16 के दौरान घरेलू मांग को पूरा करने के लिए भारत ने आयात पर 4.82 लाख करोड़ रुपये खर्च किए। आयात का बोझ कम करने के लिए और बेहतर पर्यावरण के लिए, जनता को सप्ताह में एक दिन पेट्रोल/डीजल का इस्तेमाल न करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित/प्रेरित करने का प्रस्ताव है।

हमारे माननीय प्रधान मंत्री ने सभी नागरिकों से सप्ताह में एक दिन के लिए पेट्रोल / डीजल के इस्तेमाल से बचने का आग्रह किया है। उन्होंने कहा है कि अगर 125 करोड़ भारतीयों ने ऐसा करने की प्रतिज्ञा की, तो 'न्यू इंडिया' का सपना हासिल किया जा सकता है।

हर हफ्ते एक दिन के लिए, जनता को पेट्रोल/डीजल का इस्तेमाल न करने के लिए, त्साहित/प्रेरित करने के तरीकों का सुझाव देने के लिए आप सब आमंत्रित हैं।

सुझाव देने की आखरी तारीख 8 अप्रैल, 2017, दोपहर 12 बजे तक है|

आजकल, जब लोगों को ज़रा ज़रा सी दूरी के लिये भी बाईक, स्कूटर या कार आदि की आदत पड़ चुकी है, सप्ताह में कम से कम एक दिन अपने कार्यस्थल पर साईकिल से जाना चाहिये. साथ ही अपने घर के आसपास आने जाने के लिये भी साईकिल का ही प्रयोग हो. मैंनें स्वयं पिछले लगभग 3 माह से इसे अपनाया है, और स्वास्थ्यलाभ के साथ ईंधन का खर्च लगभग 40 प्रतिशत तक कम हुआ है. मेरा सुझाव है कि स्वच्छ भारत अभियान की तरह ही 'सुंदर कल के लिये जल ही नहीं डीज़ल भी बचाईये -पैट्रोल भी' तरह अनवरत जागरूकता अभियान चलाया जाना चाहिये.

Its could be great initiative to avoid the use of exhaustive as diminishing resource of petroleum and diesel.I would suggest that the government can provide cycles at a subsidized rate and advertising the practise of using cycles because some people in india think use of cycles is below dignity.Therefore change this mindset, advertisements could be a effective tool and making cycle stands at commercial spots would also encourage the people for the same

By launching a national level car pooling application the Govt. may earn revenue and it will give boost to social interaction among people. And all the registered contributors, who completes a certain no.of pooled rides may be given coupons for meal vouchers at State Tourism development counters/Toll concessions/fuel surcharge waivers etc. This will eradicate single travelers in a car. Registration process and nominal charges can be derived from "BlaBlaCars" like systems.Vehicle pooling is must

Sir, I strongly believe that by avoiding late stay at offices in the evening hour people will be encouraged to pool the vehicle and would facilitate in avoiding petrol/diesel use. In the offices because of many reasons people stay late in the offices and are unable to pool car. If it becomes compulsory in the offices that people should come to the offices in time and leave the offices in time. It would not only encourage car pooling but also help in energy conservation at offices. Regards

It is very good to refrain from using diesel/petrol for one day of the week to save mother earth from global warming. In my town Madurai I see lots of State Government's City Buses emit lots of carbon dioxide. The State Government's department of Transport is taking stringent measures to all private motor vehicles while renewing Certificate of Fitness why they don't bother about public transport's motor vehicles? It would be better to treat all at par to save us from pollution & global warming.

The recent call by the Hon'ble PM in Mann ki Baat to the people of India to refrain from using petrol/diesel for a day in a week is really worthwhile. But, this campaign must start with all the people's representatives first. All the so-termed VIPs and VVIPs that include all the political class, bureaucrats and technocrats must denounce using convoy of vehicles in the name of protocol, security, blah blah. Preachers must be practitioners first before calling on others to adhere to such issues.

Car/Vehicle pooling can be a major game changer in reducing petrol/diesel consumption. The issue with current scenario is that not all people have co-travellers those want to commute to a common destination. The problem is lack of communication between these travellers. Many initiatives like "Bla Bla car" is doing well in this field, But I propose to built a national level "Car pooling" application by which people travelling intercity, or intra-city can pool their vehicle with other users.

Can we introduce an incentive for school/college/corporate who has their own transportation facility for students & staff and ensures that more than 60-80% of its people commutes through it daily. This will help in cutting down fuel consumption & traffic conjugation on the road. It may also help in bring down the no.of accidents on the road daily.
