Below are my suggestions: 1. Make the public transport FREE on a particular day (may be number/frequency needs to be increased) 2. Collaborate with start-ups working in bicycle rental services 3. Make some roads 'Bicycle/Pedestrian Only' on those days 4. Reward people who use bicycles

To encourage people to avoid using Petrol/Diesel, Government should provide Free Public Transportation for that day as it's not possible to walk long distances. Political Leaders and MLA of Area should walk/Cycle that day to work and they should engage with locals. This interaction could also become a way to increase awareness in people about importance of their role in governance and public participation in government initiatives. #MYGOV #PETROLDIESELFREEDAY

1)To save on Fuel where more than 50 % is wasted in single person travelling in small & big cars, it is necessary to improve public transport particularly Metro Rail in big cities & buses in rural areas. To achieve this task the country needs honest & efficient administrators with a vision. Put competent people in key areas, you will see SEA CHANGE. 2) Spread Industries to rural areas to avoid congestion in cities. 3) Employing people near their hometown has many advantages like housing, Agric

Dear Modi ji Local trains are the life line of Mumbai. If you look at progress of local trains in reference to the growth of Mumbai population for last 20 years, number of trains and their frequency is way behind 5 years than the existing needs. This need to be improved on most priority basis. This will automatically facilitate many to opt to travel by local train and reduce petrol usage.I do support your save petrol cause and promote to use cycle which is more environment friendly.

Respected Sir/Madam, With reference to my previous post i would like to add, fuel alternative biofuel(ethanol etc) can replace fossil fuel in order to curve CO2 emission, renewables are the best source for a sustainable future ensuring integration of various renewables such as solar, wind, geothermal, tidal etc due to their difference in attributes like unpredictability, cyclical, constant etc.can result in viable energy source.

The Problem 1) Riding Bicycle is not safe in most of the Indian roads. 2) No respect given by the person who rides in motor vehicle for the person riding cycles. In my experience the person riding cycle gets scolded, cornered like the road is not for him. Its very very shame on the Indians mindset this needs to be changed. The solution 1) Public advertisement is required to change this kind of mindset. 2) Simple mechanism to warn / punish the motor vehicle driver
