वर्ष 2015-16 के दौरान घरेलू मांग को पूरा करने के लिए भारत ने आयात पर 4.82 लाख करोड़ रुपये खर्च किए। आयात का बोझ कम करने के लिए और बेहतर पर्यावरण के लिए, जनता को सप्ताह में एक दिन पेट्रोल/डीजल का इस्तेमाल न करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित/प्रेरित करने का प्रस्ताव है।

हमारे माननीय प्रधान मंत्री ने सभी नागरिकों से सप्ताह में एक दिन के लिए पेट्रोल / डीजल के इस्तेमाल से बचने का आग्रह किया है। उन्होंने कहा है कि अगर 125 करोड़ भारतीयों ने ऐसा करने की प्रतिज्ञा की, तो 'न्यू इंडिया' का सपना हासिल किया जा सकता है।

हर हफ्ते एक दिन के लिए, जनता को पेट्रोल/डीजल का इस्तेमाल न करने के लिए, त्साहित/प्रेरित करने के तरीकों का सुझाव देने के लिए आप सब आमंत्रित हैं।

सुझाव देने की आखरी तारीख 8 अप्रैल, 2017, दोपहर 12 बजे तक है|

We need more pathways for bicycles/e-scooters. These vehicles are banned on many roads. The Govt. can launch a campaign whereby participants voluntarily choose a day of the week to cycle to work (or to do chores/visit friends on a weekend, if workplace is not close by). This campaign can have participants uploading photos of their commute with a hashtag. Every week, some of these pictures can be awarded a bicycle/e-scooter which winners can suggest their like-minded friends to receive.

1) Working days for all offices for 5 days/week. 2) Convert all state transport vehicle from petrol/diesel to CNG. 3) For police and medical services provide BS-VI vehicles so that they can use everyday. 4) On holiday Use of vehicle with petrol/diesel will take 2 CL(Casual Leave) from their respective jobs.

Good initiative. 1. To encourage people to use bicycle / walking, and for this involve mobile companies to track them using Location data. If they cross say 10 km a week by way of walking, provide them with 10 GB of FREE data per month. 2. Give spot prices with credit points per week to cyclist commuters. 3. Please ask administrators to clear the so called cycle tracks. 4. Create CYCLE app, ask people to register for cycle use. Track their usage, and monthly reward them per district.

1. first of all we have to change the mentality of people,we should focus on younger generation children ,schools, and colleges,involve them ,too many teenagers take bikes and cars to colleges and school and many of them don't even have licenses 2. we know people are greedy they will only leave their cars or bikes , if we provide them some benefits for that like "free public transport that day." 3.encourage cycling from schools , so that young generation take it as a habi

It is a good idea indeed not to Diesel or Petrol at least one day in a week. But is it practical? Transport system has to be improve first. PM issued Swatch Abhiyan but my locality is very dirty even though I am paying Swatch Abhiyan Tax. What the Govt is providing service to citizen? Therefore, in my opinion, to curtail in using Petrol/diesel, the improvement in roads, pedestrian walk ways, cycle track are required otherwise, if I am going on foot or on bicycle, someone will hit me.

1. All Public transport vehicles should follow the pollution standards if not then should be off-road the vehicle. 2. Auto Rickshaw must be monitored carefully; these vehicles should off-road if it’s more than 5 years of utilization. 3. More Railway lines for transport connecting majority of the places (Swiss model is a good idea) 4. All IT Companies should mandate one day work from home.
