जनजातीय लोगों के लिये आजीविका के अवसरों की कमी अन्य सामाजिक गुटों की तुलना में उनके पिछड़ेपन का एक मुख्य कारण है। कई औद्योगिक परियोजनाओं के कारण बड़ी संख्या में इनका विस्थापन होता है जिससे भी जनजातीय लोगों की आजीविका पर बुरा प्रभाव पड़ता है। यह मंत्रालय जनजातीय लोगों के लिये विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में स्थायी आजीविका सुनिश्चित कराने के लिये कई कदम उठा रहा है। जनजातीय नौजवानों के लिये व्यावसायिक शिक्षा तथा औपचारिक तकनीकी शिक्षा पर भी ज़ोर दिया जा रहा है। राज्यों को जनजातीय नौजवानों के लिये उनके कौशल के विकास हेतु कदम उठाने को कहा गया है, जिनमें कम से कम आधे कौशल महिलाओं को रोजगार दिलाने वाले हों।

जनजातीय मंत्रालय, मेरी सरकार के माध्यम से इन मुद्दों पर समाज के विभिन्न वर्गों के सुझाव तथा सूचनाऐं आमंत्रित कर रहे हैं - जनजातीय लोगों के लिये आजीविका के विभिन्न अवसर, विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में कुशल किंतु बेरोजगार जनजातीय नौजवानों की उपलब्धता, जनजातीय लोगों के पारंपरिक कौशल, जनजातीय नौजवानों मे नयी रुचियाँ तथा नये रुझान, तथा सम्बद्ध कौशल–विकास की ज़रूरतें और सम्भावनाऐं।

Ihave leaved amongst tribal people in Arunachal Pradesh and Melghat Tiger project while working in Vivekananda Kendra so I know some issues they have to face.. Energy source for domestic cooking is one of these.. The use firewood which damage jungle and smoke damage their health.. So pallets of Napier grass is good option.

Cultivation of Napier grass(. Hahti ghass) in dry forest will helpful as it yields more in less water. Can be used as food for cattle and the pallets can be used as energy source in domestic cooking. I have discussed this when I was in Melghat Tiger Project with the forest official. The were using some methods like supplying lpg gass which were useless in that scenario. So did I suggested this method to them.

I seriously believe that machines and demand can change the world for them.Most of the things are handmade and if we can do the same thing by machines that are battery operated and easy to use simultaneously create awareness towards the natural product and its benefit over what is used in cities it will do wonders.Most are not even Aware of what they are making and their uses.Simple effective steps shall do wonders.

1. We should start educating,Not only education for literacy but also vocational training Like Hand looms,Crafts,Bee plantation, Medicinal plantations etc. 2. Seeing is believing and We should arrange tour programs and exposure visit especially for those tribal who are interested in taking leads amongst them. 3. Promote tribal for Sports especially like Archery, Athletics, Hockey, Kabbadi, Wrestling 4. Most Important thing is we need to change our attitude and not tribal's attitude.

On 26-4-15 in his speech Maan Ki baat Respected PM Mr Narendra Damodardas Modi emphasized on MAYLA MATHE PE DHONA (carrying dirt on head). The phrase was headline in each and every NEWS of the day. Is He really concern about this and made provisions of reservation in LOK SABHA, RAJYA SABHA, STATE VIDHAN SABHA, MILITARY etc etc etc ...... Such reservations are in place in other aspects of life. Respected PM Mr NARENDRA DAMODARDAS MODI SIR do you have explanation or just a speech.

for taking suggestion from the indian nationals it is good for govt.making policy, tribal people knows many medicinal uses of plant and animal origin products. we can emphasis on the medicinal uses of that products those are claims from the tribal people for the disease remedies. so that Indian people will know the ethnobotanical or ethnozoological practices of the plant and animals products.

in India Lot of people go around for tourism and will find all the shops selling Tribal products at high rates because they were only available with them. My suggestion is to Government to build a shopping malls and rent out or lease to Direct tribal to sell their product with out a middle man. as a SCM professional observed there is always a Demand for tribal products but not reaching to the public due to poor penetration into local markets.example Cashew from forest goes to every house.

Introduce, agro tourism in tribal villages, and village foods such as pickels, wild fruits, and other village cuisines should be promoted, tribal culture( art ,craft, dance & music) should be promoted. Tourist spots should be identified & developed which will become a good source of revenue for govt & will be a source of livelyhood for the tribals, so necessary trainings should be imparted to the tribals to go ahead .

But, one of the main reasons people litter is less number of dustbins. We don't have to imitate what Western countries are doing by keeping plastic dustbins at every corner of the street. But instead why don't we use bins made out of palm leaves. Thereby we can provide employment to people in village and keep our homeland clean. And we have more than enough coconut trees in our country. It will be a "Make In India" initiative.
