हमारा देश विभिन्न धात्विक और गैर धात्विक खनिज संसाधनों से परिपूर्ण है। भारत में लौह अयस्क, बॉक्साइट, डोलोमाइट, चूना पत्थर और अभ्रक सहित कई गैर ईंधन खनिज पाए जाते हैं। खनन क्षेत्र (गैर-ईंधन) वर्तमान में सकल घरेलू उत्पाद में लगभग 0.5% का योगदान प्रदान करता है। स्थायी तौर पर त्वरित आर्थिक विकास के लिए, इस क्षेत्र को तेज़ी से विकास करना होगा जिससे सकल घरेलू उत्पाद में इसके योगदान के प्रतिशत को बढाया जा सके।

वैज्ञानिक, सतत और पारदर्शी खनन कार्यों के लिए प्रशिक्षित लोगों की आवश्यकता है। कौशल विकास न केवल उत्पादकता और कार्यस्थल पर सुरक्षा को बढ़ावा देगा अपितु यह लोगों को नई प्रौद्योगिकियों को अपनाने और उसका प्रयोग करने के लिए भी प्रशिक्षित करेगा। वर्तमान में इस क्षेत्र ने 0.2 लाख कर्मचारियों को रोजगार प्रदान किया है जिसका अगले 10 साल में 0.3 मिलियन होने का अनुमान है।

First of all, I appreciate the efforts which has been done by our Honorable Prime Minister in the direction of a Social Revolution which is required in our society. We were seriously worried about our Country and thinking that in which direction we are going. But now, I feel very proud that,now our country is in "SAFE HAND". We cannot build the future for our society, but we can build our society for the future. A strong leadership quality is in our PM ...... Proud to be Indian

In central railways trade apprentices are regularised after completion of apprentisip in group d category , without attending any competative exams due to this The low skill staff in entering in railways detorating the quality of railways. staff should be recuprited Only through RRC by wide publication through out india

मेरा सुजाव सडकों के लिए भूमि अधिग्रहण से सम्बंधित हे , मेरा सुजाव हे की सरकार को नकद मुवावजे के स्थान पर दोगुनी या तिन गुनी जमीं अधिग्रहित करके अधि या एक तिहाई भूमि सड़क के किनारे भूस्वामी को दे देनी चाहिए जिससे उसका नुक्सम पूरा हो जाएगा व सरकार को नकद भुगतान की आवश्यकता नहीं पड़ेगी,

सार्वजनिक स्थान पर कूड़ा फेंकने/फिंकवाने सम्बन्धी कोई ऐसा प्रावधान नहीं है.... जिसमें ऐसा करने/करवाने वाले को सजा/जुर्माना हो सके....... इन नेता जी को पहले इसी में घेरा जाये ++ पार्टी को... और स्वच्छता अभियान से जुड़ी समिति को बहुत गंभीरता से इस मामले को संज्ञान में लेकर कुर्ताधारी..... झाड़ूधारी पर कार्यवाही करे............ जिससे अभियान को संदेह में घिरने से बचाया जा सके...... :(

Mining industry regulation must include a strong technological component, forcing the industry to adopt technologies that ensure labor safety and skills development, and mitigate environmental impact. A fully-financed plan for reforestation, development of local ancillary industry, and education for laborer families must become a pre-requisite for licensing.

A New York Times article today, "The Dead of Delhi, Unknown and Unclaimed", writes about the hundreds of men, mainly migrant laborers, who die in Delhi every month. Many of them likely worked in the corruption-ridden construction industry, where working conditions are appalling. Can the Govt. create regulations for minimum facilities that MUST be provided by the industry before commencing construction - mobile community housing, a free meal, kids education, safety equipment and uniforms?
