Varanasi has been selected by MoUD, GoI under Smart City Mission Phase-I 100 cities. In the next phase, Varanasi has to compete with 98 other cities from across the country to make it into the Top 20 cities.
Citizens and stakeholders of Varanasi are requested to post their views and suggestions on the Smart Vision Statement for Varanasi to be developed as Smart City. The solutions, suggestions & views should reflect the Vision of the City.
Vision:

“To revive the Glory of Varanasi by conserving and promoting its heritage and protecting its cultural and traditional environs to boost tourism and employment, provide quality urban services, accountable governance to enhance the quality of life of citizen”

Area near the Assi ghat may be taken under redevelopment The dirty storm water entering into the river should avoided in any case The flowers thrown in the Ganga river should be removed through nets installed at boats shivam singh dalimss rohania

The Flyover near the bheulupur should be immediately completed The Jal nigam and Jal kal should ensure that quality of the water reaching to the citizens is properly tested Station are should have more pedestrian facility for better movement of the citizens The cycle rickaw should be replaced with the e-rickshwa The better charging points for E-richskwa should be more We may use open land in the city for generation of the solar power from :pranjal pandey dalimss
