The Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to thetop 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Raipur is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, RMC urges the citizens of Raipur to share their opinions and ideas to make your city “Raipur- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to your city!!

"A smart city be have 24/7 electricity modern health care should be full of greenery should have world class education should good public transport and should motivate people to go green should a very good quality of roads(seperate lane for ambulance). should have a good drainage system. should be a plastic free area should have a garbage recycling plant should provide 24 hour water facility and water retreatment plant"

I think that where clean environment is available,there smartness thrives. Thus I suggest that smart dustbins shall be installed in even the remotest part of the city. Dustbins which offer reward points such as big corporate stores do to everyone who collect and put garbage in it according to its weight. There also should be a record of who put in the most and shall be awarded quarterly or half yearly rewards.

"Travel by public transport should be made more attractive and people will be more inclined to leave their car at home. Real time transport displays can provide visibility and information on availability of public transport, condition of traffic, parking, alternative route via matrix"

pleaae provide separate/dedicated corridor for each; utility viz. GAS(PNG), ELECTRICITY, WATER ,TELEPHONE etc as this will unnecessary issues of interference thereby preventing Incident.
