The Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to thetop 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Raipur is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, RMC urges the citizens of Raipur to share their opinions and ideas to make your city “Raipur- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to your city!!

Apart from basic facilities of Health, education, Transport, communication and other infrastructures, The city should be developed as a green city with beautiful gardens and its identity and heritage should be preserved. A green belt may be developed on the banks of River Kharun. The space left for parks in colonies may be developed as beautiful gardens. There should be space and scope for common men to earn their livelihood. They, the common men should feel proud to be citizen of Raipur.

Every Multistory building must have water harvesting, Gallons of rain water on roof can be used to recharge ground water

make the city energy sufficient or maybe even surplus.Moreover Led bulbs could be used.

Smart City means eco friendly, fully WiFi, full security of citizens, all services online, no Que, no waiting in government sectors, CCTV coverage everywhere, strict law and order, all services 24 hours, fulfill the basic needs of every citizen.
