The Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to thetop 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Raipur is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, RMC urges the citizens of Raipur to share their opinions and ideas to make your city “Raipur- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to your city!!

Maintenance, repair work or traffic congestion triggered by planned events should be per-empted and mitigation strategies should be implemented

Smart City means eco friendly, fully WiFi, full security of citizens, all services online, no Que, no waiting in government sectors, CCTV coverage everywhere, strict law and order, all services 24 hours, fulfill the basic needs of every citizen.

"CHEAP PUBLIC WIFI IN EACH BUS STAND WHICH CAN BE ACCESSED BY PAYING THROUGH APPS ON THE SPOT APPROPRIATE ARRANGEMENTS SHOULD BE CLEANED."

Recycle every kind of wastes. Presently there is no coordination between each service departments. There should be coordination between these deptts. Special roads should be for non motorised transports.

Disturbance of peace in residential areas. Noise due to the number of persons frequenting the area, whether it is vehicles or individuals, the increase in such visitors causes disturbance to residents.

I think for any smart city energy is a big concern.Since now a lot of new buildings would come up, I feel most of those buildings should have solar panels installed to make the city energy sufficient or maybe even surplus.Moreover Led bulbs could be used.
