The Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to thetop 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Raipur is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, RMC urges the citizens of Raipur to share their opinions and ideas to make your city “Raipur- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to your city!!

Sub-surface water conservation needs to be boosted. Rain water harvesting may be made a Pre-condition for giving NOC for building construction from Town Planning dept.

WE CAN ENACT A LAW TO REGULATE PRIVATE PROPERTY HOLDINGS OF EVERY CITIZEN. WE OFTEN INVEST OUR ENTIRE LIFETIME EARNINGS ON BUYING LAND AND CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS. IF THE GOVT PUTS CERTAIN LIMIT ON US WE WILL START SPENDING ON LIFESTYLE STUFFS LIKE CARS, HOUSEHOLD STUFFS, FASHIONS, ETC ETC. THIS WAY ONE WILL START SPENDING QUALITY LIFESTYLE. MAY SOUND AWKWARD BUT THAT IS WHAT I EXACTLY FEEL SO. SMARTNESS WILL CERTAINLY FOLLOW.

reduced environmental footprint—all supporting innovation. AS TEACHERS ARE THE PILLAR OF OUR FUTURE GENERATION WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE AN ACTIVE TEACHERS COLONY TO ACCOMMODATE ENTIRE TEACHING COMMUNITY FREE OF COST. QUALITY TEACHING CAN BE ACHIEVED BY MAKING TEACHING PROFESSION A MUCH SOUGHT AFTER DESTINATION. REST EVERYONE KNOWS I HOPE.

Smart cities use information and communication technologies (ICT) to be more intelligent and efficient in the use of resources, resulting in cost and energy savings, improved service delivery and quality of life

he term "smart cities" is a bit ambiguous. Some people choose a narrow definition—i.e. cities that use information and communication technologies to deliver services to their citizens

Connect remote and peripherial parts of the town with frequent Green Transport like Tram. Introduce Waiting time Display board at each stops, GPS tracking for route information.
