The expansion of banking and reach of financial services is considered to be vital for the long-term sustainable development of any country. From the standpoint of equity, it is essential that financial services are provided at an affordable cost to those who are presently excluded from the formal financial system. Mobile telephony could be the answer to the problems related to ‘last mile’ service delivery of financial services.

In order to identify and address the various issues for the use of USSD-based Mobile Financial Services, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released Consultation Paper on ‘Review of regulatory framework for the use of USSD for mobile financial services’ on 2nd August, 2016 for comments.

The objective of this Consultation Paper (CP) is to examine the need of mobile based financial services in the country from a public perspective, discuss the issues in its proliferation and to explore solutions for the same.

The Authority has extended the time for submission of comments upto 14th September, 2016 and counter comments by 28th September, 2016.

For tracing vehicle thefts there is a requirement of an nationwide online RTO system wherein any police station must be in a position to feed the information of vehicles complaints with details. Immediately after this the transfer of any vehicle with any of matching details will be blocked and the information traced back to complaining police station. System clearance also to made mandatory for any vehicle transfer. Will be useful for tracing back stolen vehicles. If system exists why many theft

The biggest problem of mobile based financial services is that the data packs provided by companies are super costly. This is the main reason that despite 103 crore people use mobile phones only 35lacs are registered at my gov. This gap can be bridged if low rate data packs are provided. India is number two in population and if low rate data packs are provided more people can buy it and hence revenue generated will be far more than generated with only 35lacs. This can benefit everyone. #TRAI

Inventions happen when u see opportunity. Let's become a capitalist economy. Govt must be for welfare of people like security, law and order & development and not to run companies. Disvestment will bring more capital receipts which can help in bringing down deficit. So we can expend more on productive expenditure. why to run companies especially loss making and use revenue receipts for the same. Sell all public company especially railway and we can get direct and indirect tax from pvt Co.
