Railways needs to abolish all the privilege passes to its employees. They are heavily misused in many ways like- -issuing passes for longer routes than needed -using them as MSTs without letting the TTE sign it -hampering the normal waiting list by boarding the trains at last minute -flaunting to to get undue favours Better railway employees should be asked to book tickets from counters/irctc and they should be allowed to claim the refund which can be credited to their salary accounts.

The recent changes in the ARP from 60 days to 120 days is totally senseless.People travelling for work/business/education cannot plan a trip 120 days in advance! And by the time they decide on travelling, they don't get a confirmed ticket and are left at the mercy of the touts. Ideally a 30 days ARP makes sense because by then people have a fair idea about their travel. To tackle tout menace make show of Identity Card compulsory for all passengers booked in a single ticket instead of just one.

hello sir, any person who wants to travel need the ticket on the day of journey, they why booking of seats starts 120 days before the departure date. due to this option agents books the seats before the real passengers do. Railway tickets must b available from 2 days before the travelling day, this will stop black marketing. and will b very convenient for the passenger too. how can any1 decide to travel 3-4 months before travelling in train ?

Although slightly digressed, we need to relook at the railways network. While the trains have been connecting long distances, the passenger load is not equal. This could lead to overcrowding for some distances while few passengers for other stretches. The railways could look at distances of 400-500 kms for non-stop or one-stop connectivity at speeds of 200 kmph and operate at a frequency of every two hours, the load of passengers would be uniform.
