Reserved tickets can be booked at Computerised Passenger Reservation System centres operated by Indian Railways and also online through website www.irctc.co.in. Unreserved tickets can be purchased from Computerised Unreserved Ticketing System counters and also Automatic Ticket Vending Machines which have been installed at major stations.

Suggest solutions for efficient ticketing system.

Sir, regarding waiting tickets.......dont allow waiting in any sleeper coaches more than 100........or during fastival,summer,vacation time if u allows waiting till 400 or above then just add 3 or 4 coaches of sitting class and confirm the all waiting tickets...it should be like RAC for people....at least they would have one seat to sit or sleep.and do mandatory for all mail and express.plz draw ur kind attention to this....because all the govt. trasport running for comfort of public.

TTRs are wearing Coat, which is a nice dress code. Think about them for our hot climate in the months of April and May. Already they are struggling a lot in the crowd by moving from one end to another end. Government may think about a new dress code reflating our nation heritage.

Try to remove the advertisement and unnecessary wordings in the ticket booking form. During tatkal time it is very difficult to use the form. Some times the image text is very easy to read, but sometimes it is very difficult to read and pass through in one attempt.

Please provide the train name in the SMS along with train no. Also try to provide the time in 12 hours format, Because every one used to that format.

Not everyone has plans from 4 month prior to the journey. Currently I have no choice but to go for Tatkal, which anyways is a gamble,though I know I have to travel after 1 month. If how I want the system to be is implemented,I get another 30 chances to try and book the ticket every day. This way you are giving equal opportunity to everyone who made his decision to travel 1 month prior,two months prior,or say a day ago. You even scrap the tatkal,by increasing the price when the tatkal time comes.

So I was faced with an situation that I came to know about my internship on April 30, and I have to depart before 1 June to Chennai from ISM Dhanbad. Surprise!No tickets there. Next option? Tatkal? Haha. Why can't we have a dynamic system of ticket booking in which we fix the number of tickets that can be booked for a train on a particular day. Say we have 1200 seats and 4 months(120 days) Fix it to 10 seats per day(or more if seats are left). Not everyone has plans 4 months prior to journey.

There is no one to address any complain or dispute. I have got wrong refund for TDR and no one is looking into it. 1. I contacted irctc customer care via email.. 2. Filled RTI online via https://rtionline.gov.in/. 3. Filled a complain on railway website http://www.coms.indianrailways.gov.in/criscm/common/complaint_search.seam. Did not get response from any of them finally putting it here. Attached are the doc for email to irctc, RTI and Indian railway complaint portal.

Unfortunately I could not find any tab for the Improvement of performance of running trains, So I am bound to write on this tab. Indian Railways being the biggest organisation, needs to improve upon the timings of the trains running. People working in different states are bound to take extra holidays due to delaying of trains (condns worsens during winters).Millions of we Indians travel through trains and due to delay causes loss in productivity.

Ticket booking needs so many changes 1. To book tatkal is becoming painful, due to agent system they grab most of the ticket. Can we build better system so that ticket goes to actual person and not to agents? 2. Seat allocation needs to be enhanced. Right now senior citizen may not get lower birth but young ppl gets lower birth. This creates lots of problem 3. peak hours booking need to be handled appropriately so that site functions normally/without impacting speed.

Sir Just to continue my thought, pls add this 2-3 extra chair coaches and reduce the 2 sleper coaches, so that there wouldn't be any difficult while travelling. If some sits looks to be free, TT should come to the particular sitting coaches and tell the corresponding WL person, so that the corresponding people can go and sit in the respective seat. So there wouldn't be the over crowded in the train. At least the people has a seat to sit. Sir pls have a look into this, which I am requesting...
