During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

Please watch this movie from 00:54:00 to 00:57:10. This a part from a movie in Malayalam 'Spirit'.It has expounded well about the drug use.

I think there should be all india level law.because one state ban on ghutka and the neighbour state dont ban.so illigal smuglling carried out.and for drug it is very essential to literate the youth about the hazards of drug.drug addiction is now moving towards the lower age youth because of easy avalibility .i think strenthning the police dep. On one side and educating the youth on other side should be done.gov should work on how to control it from spreading it in 15-16yr age group of youth

Dear PM, TO stop drug abuse in India we first need to build a strong family system where children get both their parents to love them the whole life. Unfortunately, today in India thanks to family breaking laws in the name of women empowerment is ending all our relations. In this scenario, how can we even think of having a drug abuse free society. With IRBM set to pass in India I see that drug abuse and crime rate in India will only increase. Common Indian men will become criminals and addicts.

These are my suggestions. 1. Special monitoring of kids by school authorities, parents and well wishers.2. Softly speaking to a boy/girl who was previously addicted to drugs to know about the source of its supply, places where its available etc.3.Maintaining a warmth between kids and parents & prayer life.4. Night patroling by govt. officials in sensitive areas.5.More than anything, holding fast to spiritualism rather than materialism

You may put a phto of a person writhing in pain when he could not gt a dose of narcotics. "Narcotics kills, deprives and makes you a slave"

dear sir we worship cows but with increased use of tractors ,we find bulls,old/pregnant cows left free on streets .This poses threat to old people ,children and also gives an opportunity to butchers to lift them unauthorisedly.Can we not create awareness in public to address this issue and look after our cows ,improve their breed and find some use for bulls too .i hope you cover this in some episode of "Mann ki bat"

1.Sources of Drug supply should be found and uprooted. 2.Ban and equal and equal punishment to as to hold weapons illegally. 3.Rehabilitation centers for drug abusers. 4.Immediate action on drug suppliers. 5.Farmers should be discouraged to cultivate"ganja" or any. 6.Anti-narcotics should offer prizes who finds the source and users and those who inform the illegal channel. 7.Strict actions on colleges who do not ban it. 8.Encourage user to "invest" in other area which will give profits

1.I was inspired by Gandhi to not to involve in addiction , so inspiring stories and harmful effect of drugs , such type of stories, poem , should be included in curriculum to sensitize children 2.as after strict monitoring and control it is not possible to get zolpidem from store ,so I drop the taking drug for sleep , so strict monitoring and control can be helpful. 3.as use of regular Yoga and meditation is largely responsible to control my mind so if we make a routine 15 min it make a chan
