During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

Make movies which can make people knowledge grow on drug I have a good story to make young not to go for drugs and how stress +drug =death

Have an improved student:teacher ratio (may be 1:5).. encourage students to participate in co-curricular activities that involves team building..motivational classes..ban drugs related movies

MAIN STEP SHOULD BE to CUT SUPPLY 1) Nip it in Bud (Part of curriculum from lower primary) 2) Train the Trainer (teachers) 3) University/Board Inspections on Colleges/Schools - if found,they lose license (this will warn students and encourage reporting). 4) Punish also those who abet (hotels, restaurants, clinics, etc.) 5) More stringent punishments like in Middle East 6) Round the year message from famous personalities/ celebrities 7) Increase rewards for information on drug abuse. Good Luck

We Have to Have Self Help Group like RSS (Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh) or similar NHG (in the similar way like Kudumbahsree there in Kerala ) have to make in every nooks and corner and I will be help full in Financial Availability, Women Empowerment, Moralizing Girls and Boys with Mothers Strict Guidance for to Remove Male / Female Rape and Dress Code for Girls and even case of Gas Subsidy with Panchayathi Raj system , then to Curb Drugs / Alcohol / Illicit Trafficking and Usage. MeanCBO's+LSGs

As per my view current generation , they are habitual of pubs , drinking n many more things to do from teenagers .. Parents has gave them freedom to do more .. If we want to reduce this drug addiction first of all we need to give time to child from birth.. Because they both leave there child alone or to other hand for job. And boy or girl pass his/her time with friends or tv shows where what they are watching we don't know..what they learning they don't know n then what he /she is getting ....

I think the right way forward is to rationalize education so that the children learn value of following rules laid down by family elders and teachers. They should also be taught meditation to help train their mind to be steady. This ought to be followed up by stringent punishment for drug dealers including death penalty and for drug users, including long time therapy. Again the parents must also learn the value of imbibing discipline in their wards by themselves also following healthy life style

First of all display of consumption of alchohal in movies and tele serials be banned .all shops selling liquor to get close by 7 pm.all rev parties be banned and even licensed hotel should not be allowed sale after 10 pm.workshops in offices both govt and private be organised by NGOs to inform ill effects .parent be advised not to consume liquor or cigarettes in front of childrens

First of all government should stop to support such company's and second, totally bang all such products from production and if it is produced by anyone then it will be illegal and make it as crime in India and if some company produced it then those companies are restricted to use them for human helps and not for their poor health.

On the basis of my interaction with people abusing drugs: 1. Awareness or education strategies in its conventional ways can have very little effect on people who already have started using drugs. 2.Awareness progarms have a role in drug naive people as a preventive strategy. 3.PEER pressure and the "ecstasy" are the things which keeps the youth hooked.....if we can get them addicted to a "healthy alternative" that can make a difference eg: books,sports,love etc..

Drugs : It has different definition for different people Rich: Source of enjoyment. Poor or Middle standard: easy source of income. For child or youngster : They look responsible,elder if they are use to of drugs. Powerless and helpless people : To forget old things. Parents: Jeete ji marna Paki***: Easy way to destroy youth of india. Mr. PM just close the doors from where it come and me and my country believe in you. You can do it. Just take an initiative and of course we can do it.
