During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

In India, illegal Drug trade Is mostly carry out by terrorist organisation to generate funds. they are using this funds to buy arms and ammunition. To stop narco terrorism, We need a special and powerful squad like we did to combat terrorism by making National intelligence agency and Anti-terrorist squad . We also need to make strict law to fight with illegal drug trade like what USA and European countries did. We need to make some changes in our current narcotics control bureau.

not only mega city but also in small town youth is drug addicted.Also police knows about this but they ignor such thinks in villages. any new thing fashion or education improvement are coming from city to village it take some year but drugs addiction is as fast then other. in small houses also in small quantity drugs are selling. we will give arrange speical cell or somthing like if help line if we know about such thin like where people are taking & selling we can send by sms or call

I think the Drug menace is also spread in the youngsters who are failing in Life when they are not achieving for what he ha made religious efforts but because of the system prolem ...like RESERVATION BASED ON CAST....One General category student is getting consistently performing well above the reserve category student but he is not getting either admission in Good college,Good Job in Public sector or Govt Job and getting frustrated and carried away by the nuisance presence in society....

Lack of exposure to outdoor playing is the main reason. Along with that they are having money and lot more provocations. They need to be engaged in meaningful, labourious and enjoyable activities. So that there energy is spent in constructive way. From childhood they should be made aware about drug menace through awareness programme / movie / drama and family counselling. There should be public role models to follow. Positive hope, feeling proud of nation are must. Prayer, classical music help.

Sir we have life skill development program in that we are conducting habits and addiction and depression rerelief training program in Belgaum of Karnataka ststateThis is very result oriented program. We have much more program on this.

the biggest step to make our youth immune from drugs is to make yog a compulsory subject in schools. the school should start with yog sessions, then breakfast, then classes. To give a message to the world, health ministry should be re-named YOG AND HEALTH MIINISTRY. Start a PRADHAN MANTRI YOG PRASAR YOJANA in which 12 lakh part time yog teachers (half male, half female) can be trained by patanjali yogpeeth haridwar and then asked to devote 2 hours daily for yog classes in all 640 districts.

i think all the technical and higher education institutes like IITs and NITs and other colleges should be covered with CCTV cameras for both security reasons and preventing any type of drug rackets.And one more important step should be introduction of spiritual discussions and meetings in all schools just like included in C-CA of K.V.S . Vigilance on Illegal and unlicensed liquor shops and also on general stores because they also used to sell liquor and other addiction products in rural areas

We should improve sports infrastructure in schools and develop sports clubs near slums and encourage children to participate in sports. Because it is the idleness of our youths attracts drugs and once a person become sportsman he would understand the importance of good health

its not good for our economy and invest your money in business instead of drugs. Drugs ruin you but investment gives you new opportunities of growth don't let the drug seller bcome rich. just ruin their life who are selling drugs and make your future better then them and its the time to do something for our family, country, kids. show other countries our power of skills not the hangover of drugs.....

easy availability of drugs is main problem. any one can access to source & can take. No strict implementation of Law by enforcing body. any drug should not be available in market openly & with out analyse financial appetite.
